Hello,
(Pictures at the end!)
I’m 19 and have been looking into orthognathic surgery for a while now. I’m trying to figure out whether bimax (possibly with some CCW rotation) would actually make sense in my case or if I’m overestimating what surgery could do for me.
My main aesthetic concerns are:
I’ve attached front and side profile photos.
I’m interested in hearing honest opinions from people who have had surgery, done a lot of research, or understand cephs and facial structure. Do you think I look like someone who could benefit from bimax and/or CCW rotation, or do you think the improvement would likely be minimal?
Also:
I’m looking for honest feedback, whether it’s “yes, you’d benefit” or “no, I don’t think surgery is justified.”
Thanks.

My main aesthetic concerns are:
- I want a wider and stronger-looking lower third.
- I want more forward growth.
- Getting rid of or reducing my nasolabial folds is a big priority for me.
- I feel like my maxilla might be somewhat recessed, but I’m not sure if that’s actually the case or if I’m just misdiagnosing myself.

Also:
- Do you see any obvious maxillary deficiency?
- Does my lower third actually look narrow to you?
- Would advancing the jaws realistically help with my nasolabial folds?
- If you were consulting a surgeon, what movements would you expect them to consider?

but yeah the orthodontists in my country are all dumb and think having straight teeth is all that matters
sucks most orthos just do whatevers easiest to straighten the teeth instead of fixing ur structural issues. and most parents dont know any better
