I get what you're coming from but conscioussness is literally the brain working people with severe autism and mental diseases don't have a legit consciousness cause their brains are damaged but i see the picture you're trying to convey
You are treating consciousness like a body's function but the argument can be made that before we are aware there's no body. Consciousness has really serious implications. Here's what Sam Harris says about the structure of the brain and awareness, btw he is an atheist:
"Absolutely nothing about a brain, when surveyed as a physical system, suggests that it is a locus of experience. Were we not already brimming with consciousness ourselves, we would find no evidence of it in the physical universe—nor would we have any notion of the many experiential states that it gives rise to. The painfulness of pain, for instance, puts in an appearance only in consciousness. And no description of C-fibers or pain-avoiding behavior will bring the subjective reality into view. "
For any experience to be there, first you must be aware. I guess it's not so far fetched from this to conclude that consciousness is the real basis and not the physical universe. In real life situation the implications are insane. Awareness offers the sole "ground" when really intense experiences occur.
I agree 100%The point of life is dopamine. The notifications, the Vidya, the porn, the status, cars, money, thrills, likes, retweets. It's always the dopamine that keeps us going
