Been tanning for 3 days under harsh sun NO CHANGES

Wth is the tan supposed to kick in a week later or smth

I also just started today and im already looking a bit tanned
I used a tanning oil and the uv was 7 at the time,i tanned for 30 minutes from my balcony
I’ll do the same for 3 hours tomorrow at the beach
