I'll be honest I don't really debate believers anymore. I'll just end it at this, God doesn't solve "how does something come from nothing?" Because God too must have come from nothing, that or he always existed, if you can accept he always existed why can't you do the same for the universe.

The universe was never truly nothing. It was always something. There's no beginning to it.

But yeah like I said I don't debate believers anymore. I did that when I was 15-23ish.

I'm 30 now, this is just a waste of time. Whoever is right amongst us will likely go further in life, because accurate beliefs lead to accurate models of reality and accurate models means better decision making.

in a more difficult way to understand, god is the field of everything, instead of something like an astronaut inside of his own creation controlling things

think of the world as the finite, like a huge not easy to understand globe, and god as the infinite, the never ending, always there field of creation and certain matters than even i have a hard time understanding, like certain quantum math and frequencies.
