Full porn and Youtube detox - 30 day experiment

Porn and Youtube are worse than crack. I was trying to stop consuming both completely but have failed. Probably because the idea of never using those sites again was too much for my sick addicted brain to handle. So I have decided I will do a 30 day experiment. If I can not even stay away for 30 days then that would be ridiculous so failing is not an option. After 30 days I will evaluate how it affected my life. I hope it will help me to find out if not consuming those things actually makes my life better or it's just a meme.

In a few minutes Youtube will be blocked from my firewall completely and porn will be blocked from my PC and smart phone to at least make sure there are as few hesitations as possible. I will report here at least like every second day to hold myself accountable. Experiment starts in 33 minutes at 12 AM CET and ends exactly 30 days later.

I stopped porn years ago genuinely one of the best decisions I made.I already have sewer tier mental health I don’t know what would’ve happened with regular porn

Even just looking at pictures of women without sex is WAY better than porn

The main problem is if I don't concentrate I will just open Youtube and not even realize I do. At least if it is blocked I will be reminded of my plan.

Yeah same here. I have wasted so many YEARS of my life watching Youtube and porn and playing stupid games. Imagine all the things I could have done. I want to make the best out of the time I have left.

So 2 days have gone by and I notice two things:

1. Living without Youtube is much easier than I thought.
2. Living without porn is much harder than I thought.

Youtube is just boring and repetitive anyway. But when it comes to porn it's different. I could easily live without regular porn but I have very strong fetishes and extremely intense drive to watch content matching these fetishes. It is extremely addictive...more than any drug.

Ok so I have to say my life has improved massively over the last few days. Every time I wanted to open Youtube and realized I had blocked it I immediately went on to do something productive. Not only is my apartment cleaner than it was over the entire last 4-5 years...I also took a lot of time to prepare my self employment that I am planning to start once I emigrate to Bulgaria. Things are really starting to develop and get much better.

As far as stopping porn is concerned I am suddenly able to get hard again and am starting to find the idea of normal sex appealing again.

Life without Youtube and porn is so much better and I highly recommend to all of you to give it a try. Not even missing it too much anymore.
