Even normies document it as “glass skin” I’m pretty sure it comes as a consequence of rapid skin turnover so the skin is thinner than normal and leads to opaqueness.

I think it makes you look like a fag but it's the cost to pay for the anti aging and acne benefits

As far as I'm aware, you only achieve the glass skin effect with tretinoin gel. If you get the tretinoin cream instead you avoid this effect.

I have used the cream for over a year and it has worked wonders in terms of improving complexion and eliminating acne but there is no glass effect.

@Prettyboy do you use tret?
 
I think it depends on your skin type. i have been using tret for a couple months now, acne has improved and I look younger but I my skin is starting to gain the early stages of that luminescence
