Would shedding some weight help with a better jaw or is it a lost cause?

You don't seem this fat, but you should definitely cut down to AT LEAST 15-13% bf before deciding on what to do next. If you cut down to 12-10% and your Jaw is still hidden by fat, you're going to have to go for buccal fat removal surgery

You're fat
The issue isn't weight, it's your bodyfat percentage. it's possible to be above 70 kg and have a low bodyfat but that would require
1- Dedicated gymceling
2-A precise nutrition plan
Also, just to be safe, try to lessen your intake of sodium and refined carbs as they tend to cause facial bloat

if you're too lazy to do any of the above, then grow a beard if your genetics allow for it. Just hide that shit like I do

calculators are wrong, i'm 5'10" 71kg and im not even that big, you should be sitting at 75-80. 70 is skinny for your height or ultra lean which is not possible to maintain
