How would jaw implants affect the masseter muscles

Because if you think of it jaw implants cover the entirety or partially( depends how high or low set the muscles are or implants) of the masseter muscles, and what effect would this have if the body absorbs the implants?
 
it probably won’t absorb the implants because these type of things are thought out but it might relocate

But could the surgeon put the implant under the muscle ?
Yes they can do it but it is highly dependent on the result you want. The most common choice is directly On the bone.

that might mess up the muscle
They cut the lower insertion point, place the implant under the muscle, overtime the muscle reattaches itself to the stable surface and you can chew again.
