I’m at around 300lbs. I tried cutting my meals to 2 times instead of 3 times (eating the same amount in those meals as before), while replacing some of it with more protein sources. This would decrease my calories by around 30-40%. I also started going to the gym 6 times a week to lift for hypertrophy.

And what were my results? I didn’t lose a single fucking pound. Fuck this shit, I’m just going to rope and end this subhuman body’s existence at this point. There’s no point of even trying anymore when I know I’m not getting anywhere. This is the end, fuck my life. It’s ovER.

I’m at 300lbs. My body fat percentage should be dropping much faster than muscle being added at this point. I just want to not be fat, lifting will help not destroy my metabolism when I’m skinny.

True af too, earlier this year my 40 year old overweight dad lifted 3x/week for 2 months, and then went from a 135lb Bench 1RM to 10RM, became more muscular, but stayed at the same weight. He obviously lost some fat and had a change of body composition from his looks too.

Different is he probably wasn’t 300lbs. At my weight the fat should be dropping faster than muscle being added. Unless you’re suggesting I will somehow end up at 300lbs of muscle.

You didn't eat enough fat. If rich, red meat and avocado; if poor, chew lard and butter.

The number on the scale means absolutely nothing. A 92kg (205 lbs) 6'0 guy can be a lot leaner and lower body fat than a 80kg (175 lbs) 6'0 guy.

Start tracking your waist size and body fat % instead of stepping on the scale. If your waist size is decreasing steadily, your body fat is going down.

Also if you're not prone to hairloss, you can just inject trenbolone and your body will recompose the fuck out of itself, you'll gain muscle even without exercise.
A less effective, but gentler alternative is anavar.

he needs to cut the fat off before he starts thinking about a recomp just getting the weight off his joints would be good even if it compromises some of his lean mass, needs to get to at least 200lbs before thinking about a recomp, depending on his height he might need to lose more.

Calories matters. If you eat 3k kcal in 5 meals it is the same as eating 3k in 2 meals.

So don't try to convince me that with your leptin and insulin sensitivity issues, you managed to cut out 1/3 of your caloric intake without causing your ghrelin to rape you to oblivion with hunger


Also, lifting is the most retarded and inefficient way to lose fat, I DONT KNOW why it's paraded everywhere. 1 hour intense session of weight lifting burns about 100 calories. Considering you're 300 pounds and likely have dog shit cardiovascular endurance, you're TOPS doing 30 minutes of lifting, 30 minutes resting. AKA you're burning 250 calories per weak from lifting



You didn't beat thermodynamics, you're just not counting calories and relying on your obese person intuition



If you can, order stimulants. 4 months worth of Adderall. And you will cycle it. Combine this high dose caffeine + diet sodas + intermittent fasting. Then eat one big meal + dessert to kill the cravings and count every single thing. Or you can count calories once, memorize the food items, prep them once a week for the entire week and eat the same thing everyday if you can't count different food everyday

Your right about caffeine and that weights will not burn as much calories as cardio even moderate intensity cardio will burn more and how op is not reliable at all about estimating his caloric intake just idk stimulants are the only thing I was concerned about really tbh.

I just go to sleep a bunch of times a day to cope with the hunger, but I guess you are probably right. The lifting thing is for metabolism not decreasing as I lose weight. Stimulants don’t work well with me. I get pain from drinking coffee for some reason.

You simply weren't tracking your calories as well as you thought you were. If you aren't losing weight you just need to eat less. If you're scared of hunger from cutting down even further consider something like wegovy.

With Adderall + caffeine he would be able to power through a 1000+ deficit. At this level of obesity, you can afford up to 1500 deficit without risking muscle loss. It will take him forever if he does 500 slow and steady, and he doesn't have the discipline clearly for calorie counting

Lifting doesn't raise your metabolism in any significant sense. For every pound of muscle gained, your TDEE increases 10 calories. This is one of the biggest misconceptions. Stop lifting. You're spiking your cortisol for no reason which causes hunger spikes. Do cardio or no exercise

The calculator wants him to be at 2598 calories a day for a deficit from the beginning of 1700 (I said he was 'moderately' active), I do not know if the calculator takes into account how this will shift as he loses weight his basal metabolic rate and tdee will change.

Walking is the absolute best most sustainable cardio ever. Running or HIIT is a joke that will kill your joints if you're not already fit

If you eat fewer calories than your body needs, you will lose fat over a long time period. It's a fact.

Track your calories. Everything. Include liquids apart from water. They add up too.

Would be physically impossible to not lose weight at 300 pounds if you were truly in a caloric deficit.
