Despite how ridiculous it all is. The average person is being manipulated by the left and virtue signalling celebrities and companies. They're made to believe that racism, or more specifically, needless brutality of police officers toward black people is a serious issue that the USA is facing. Thinking about it, I don't even really know why I was initially personally mad at individuals that have shown their support for BLM. Now let me make a distinction. There's the people that I just described and then there's the hardcore leftists whose only motive is to virtue signal in order to reach moral high ground. These people are despicable. But I like to believe the vast majority of people are just doing what they think is good. They just don't know any better, as sad as it is.

Maybe I'm just using this as a justification to not hate all the people that I like which have shown their support for this.

i can imagine a lot of normies haven't even considered that a difference stance on this situation exist, or simply wrote it off. i mean, you can probably see how having a different opinion on this matter would seem ridiculous to someone that can only see "white police officer killed defenseless black man". but there's not really much we can do about this, people will always be stupid.

They keep asking for donations, yet nowhere on their website does it say exactly where those donations go, just vague phrases like 'it goes to empowering and supporting the black community'. The leader of BLM did a reddit AMA a while back and it was a total shit show. She couldn't answer simple questions about where the donations to them went.

yea i heard about that ama. apparently the organization which hosts the donation website (actblue) has this policy which says if the one that demands the donations (in this case blm) doesn't do anything with the money after a certain amount of time (don't exactly remember) then the money basically belongs to actblue (which is a left wing organisation), something like that. so all the donated money might just be used to fund democrat politicians. something is up for sure, otherwise they would've said where the money goes.
