Is .05 tretinoin too much to start with?

I have sensitive skin but I was able to fucking find a plug for tretinoin somehow JFL my fellow acnecel friend literally has a prescription for this shit and had an extra tube which lasts 6 months.

I bought it off him I don’t even care, I have more coming but it’s gonna take over a month and a half to reach me and my acne is getting worse by the day.

will this shit make my face peel off if I’m not used to it?

all of my acne is gone but i have insanely dry skin and insane amounts of peeling and i cant open my mouth without feeling shitty stretchy skin
when i tried 0.5 i had none of these
tbh its probably the best to start with

I started with 0.05%. Pretty drying but bearable with heavy moisturizer at night. After 2 months you'll be used to it.

just try it first look how your skin reacts if it reacts badly just skip one day everytime and build up slowly

Bet. Does .1% fully clear acne usually? I am interested in getting to that level potentially if possible. I want to have accutane skin without the hairloss, if that’s even a possibility.

Yes but I don’t have .025. I have all 3 strengths coming but they are currently in shipping from fucking India which will take hella long unfortunately. In 1 week I get my cialis and modafinil I’m hyped. But right now I have tretinoin .05 for my skin. My skin has progressively gotten worse since getting off accutane. I can now see little pimples starting all over my face. What a scam since my hair is still falling out on my head but I have acne on my face.

Tretinoin should work very slowly but it does indeed work

If you have acne now you will have it for awhile but after that time you will have flawless skin pretty much

Retarded that tretinoin is so fucking slow compared to accutane. I blasted like 80mg of accutane from the get go (started high dose then tapered down) and my skin got fucking obliterated and the acne dried up within 2 weeks.

After purge (was 2 weeks for me) my acne was reduced to maybe one zit every other month. Cystic acne gone forever. Maybe one every 6 months. Maybe. You won't see noticeable collagen gains/acne scar reduction until after 6 months of use or so tho.

.1% will probably have faster results but a much more intense purge. If you want to leave your house some time in the next month or so start with a low dose and don't rush through it. Small/no purge with slightly longer time until optimal results is better than looking fucked for a few months so that your skin looks better a month or so earlier than otherwise

Introducing strong skincare products suddenly usually fucks your skin and could create more problems after the purge is complete, also introducign .1% without being acclimated to it will probably extent the purge time. Still it's worth a shot especially if he doesn't need to leave his house much until the purge ends

if you dont have the smaller version you can mix yours with moisturizer and then apply it

FUCK dude I need to hop on .1% so bad. I guess that will be my goal then. I’ll keep using .05%, see if it even makes an improvement on my acne, then try and hop up onto .1% because that looks like accutane tier results with just a topical cream. Having clear smooth skin is LIFEFUEL

I’m currently on .05% however I did order .1% and it will be here in a month so I will continue using this and if I ever get used to it, then bump up to .1% for the benefits.

Anyone know if this is unhealthy for my vitamin A toxicity? I am using retin A because accutane is making my hair fall out (quit accutane for 3 weeks now), and it’s definitely due to excessive vitamin A levels. Will using retin A make me overdose, especially at .1%?

U will probably be ok since u used accutane. I started on 0.05 6 months ago and the main places where I experience dryness were corners of nose and mouth. Just make sure you use a small pea sized amount and use oil free moisturizer 20 min after applying. Spf in am of course

.1% is the same as .05% i think, you just see the effects much quicker
