they're growing fast af, have you seen china now ? they have centuries to catch up and the usa is actively destabilizing and destroying competition before it matures. when you have the advatage and the lead you can kill competition even if its way better than you in terms of talent and potential the usa is also taking the best immigrants from all over the world to offset the iq difference.

Yeah, it's a meme and not close to reality. The ones that are "high iq" are known mainly because they come to the USA for education. Which. Go figure lmao. Also with such a massive population it is a larger sample size.

"Extreme" poverty was eliminated, but many still live in trash conditions. Large income inequality exists because of the growth of the nation after it opened up as well. But you can argue something similar about the USA. But at least we don't have gulags and education camps for our own population. Our government sucks, but holy shit, living in China under the CCP would be the worst, and actively holds back the Chinese people from achieving a better society. They haven't even been real commies for a long time.

The government itself is an authoritarian shill of an oligarchy with the corpse of communism as its banner. To give some credit however they have closed the gap pretty massively so that is worth noting tbh.

Another annoyance I have is the sense of entitlement many seem to have about themselves. It's this pride, at least the ones I have met in college had. They never tried to integrate, acted like they were superior, and the center of the world. Mind you, they are actively getting an education in the United States. Idk it just gave me bad vibes and the way they would switch to Chinese to talk behind others backs was cringe.

I took Chinese for a few years too, got to an "advanced level" but the people and culture had many cringe aspects. Even studied it for history, and not all is bad, obviously. But man, some of it is very cringe, mainly stemming from the current regime in charge and its eternal cope from being btfo'd by western powers and then Japan.

But, some of the Chinese chicks are cute tho fr. So I tolerate them.
