What is the ideal time to sleep in?
You should probably wake up somewhere around dawn or close to it, and how much you should sleep depends on your genes - you can check it if you want but 7-8 hours will be good for an adult and slightly more for someone younger. If you don't want to get your genes check just play around with sleep lenght

take everything in the following comment with a grain of salt cause i barely researched this topic and i even forgot some of the research. genetic circadian rythms propably vary from person to person, going back to evolutionary times when some members of the tribe were supposed to look out for predators while others slept. but for most people, it would seem that the whole "an hour of sleep before midnight is worth two after" may be very true, and even saw a post recently on fb by the late andreas moritz explaining how deep sleep exclusively occurs before midnight. found at least one study and a few anecdotes showing tremendous difference in life quality from sleeping at like 9 to 10pm. if you have blackout curtains will also affect when you wake up naturally, light etc. also if u party at like the weekend, once your rythm stabilizes, you can propably not mess it up and be back at it by sunday or monday if u have enough minerals and vitamins and low enough stress to iniciate normal bodily process, and if u limit blue light late at day through screen filters glasses etc.
