Its insane how bad my social anxiety was just one year ago...

If you are hiding things can only get worse the opposite is true as well if you push yourself you can only get better.

Could try but I would just give up tomorrow
Just do things you dislike that are good for you everyday, Then increase it overtime. Exposure therapy works

Idk if its genetic. Not everything is genetic a lot of it is how you grew up your brain wires itself by 16 and its hard to change after that

How did you fail?
Got extremely drunk and tried to suffocate myself using multiple plastic bags. When I was about to blackout I somehow managed to get the bags out, and realised I don't wanna do this.

Exposure therapy is legit. Being around people 24/7 got rid of most of the anxiety. It took months of hells but I am now able to be in the room with other people without feeling bad.

Another thing that helps is exercising and cold showers. Doing these trains your brain that you can endure hard things.

I still have not recovered to pre Hikiamori days but I am 80% back to normal. 6 months of isolation really destroyed me I am glad I finally am getting back to normal
The cold shower thing seems like a red pill cope tbh. It don’t seem like it offers any benefits.

It trains you to deal with stress and it wakes you the fuck up. If its winter where you live the water is so fucking cold you can go from asleep to awake in 10 seconds
