No, salvation is by the grace of God alone. However, we don't view it as some transactional thing, meaning if I do this thing then you'll grant me salvation and then after that you just go about your life not caring anymore. That would be like showing up to the funeral of a deceased loved one whom you never spoke to or visited and expecting a great inheritance, "I Never Knew You, depart from Me" Matthew 7:21.
