Just got my palate expander. Lifefuel

Current stats:
1. 40.8mm intermolar width
2. Somewhat hollow cheeks with a somewhat noticeable ogee curve
3. Recessed maxilla and mandible
4. Very Narrow mouth (my mouth is only slightly wider than my nose jfl)
5. 8 teeth smile

Goals:
1. 48mm-50mm intermolar width
2. Very noticeable hollow cheeks and very prominent over curve
3. Fix my recessed maxilla and mandible
4. Achieve a wide mouth in hopes of fixing my shit mouth to nose ratio
5. 12 teeth smile

I’m going to do a multiple month transformation with this and let you know the results. Let me know if you want to be tagged in my future palate expander transformation post. Also let me know if you have any questions and let me know what you think about this.

i thought the needed intermolar width was 38 for normal breathing

It’s different for everyone. Especially if ur a recessed person from your parents not helping you

I’m mainly doing it for aesthetic reasons not for breathing or function

If you have a recessed maxilla and mandible, doesn’t that mean ur wisdom teeth are fucked.

I have never felt pain or discomfort ever in my wisdom teeth so I don’t think so

Praying for your mandible
I actually had another idea for it besides sugar and hgh or BSSO and that’s if I create a massive overbite than I can just jut my mandible forward whenever I’m out in public, easy fix

I don’t think jutting works 😂

Of course not. It’s a temporary fix, that’s why I said I will jut in public and everywhere else not

Does it work even after 18?
Theoretically it should work at any age if given enough force due to wolf’s law. It would be more efficient during your development years though of course.

So for aesthetic reasons, can I put it at any age to expand? Thanks for the answer

still super grateful for that. if my maxilla was recessed and not flat before looksmaxxing and wtv i would've been cooked

wont your teeth gap? ive seen some people use expanders/thumbpulling to stimulate forward growth in the facial bones, seems inciting but i got braces done and my teeth are lined up in my face, though my jaw is asymmetric so the straight teeth are slanted

Yes your teeth should get a gap as it means it’s working. It's well worth it though

It depends if it’s severe or not. If the gap is severe then maybe

Was this expander fitted to you with a slit in the upper palate?

how long will you wear it ? i want to get one too just for a wider smile ( i have a 6 teeth smile jfl ) but i dont want to wear braces AGAIN if i have gap between the two front teeth, ive heard that the gap closes by itself with time so idk tbh

Hey why did you get the y plate 3 way expander instead of 3 screw sagittal expander? Im not sure which one to get but chatgpt says sagittal is better for more forward growth.

Cheaper and it looks like it does the exact same thing

I’ll keep wearing it until I am satisfied with my maxilla and yeah the gap can probably close a bit once you stop wearing it

Not really. That’s only when you train them to failure and plus it’s a muscle if it grows too much I’ll just stop jutting and the muscle will eventually shrink

Congrats, you will tilt your teeth out, receed some gum and make your teeth position unstable. If you are less then 13 you might move some bones

It’s worth it for extra bone mass

It’s actually a good thing that it will tilt my teeth out because my teeth are tilted way too inwards. Gums should only recede if there is too much pressure and idc about unstable teeth position. ALSO MSE has been shown to move bones and it’s actually a tooth expander just like this

Is that mse ? So you turn it and it will break your bone ? Thats good

No jfl it’s a removable expander I’m just comparing it to to mse but whatever. I’m also thumbpulling very hard and I’m planning on cutting my misplace suture. So far my palate is in a lot of pain. Should be enough to move the bone without spending 10k on mse

Depends on age but yea maybe some, but not as much as mse. Mse litteraly takes a week of good force before any bones move and suture litteraly pop in the skull, and diastoma at the front split begin to happen.

Good enough for me. Just a few mm of bone can make a massive difference
