One of the most fucked up realizations a man can have is having been a combat veteran with mental injuries and returning to a society in which he has to go through the bureaucratic system the same as every other motherfucker, essentially being withheld the help he deserves and then thinking back to his combat days where his comrades would have his back even if it cost their life and not being able to be around them anymore. Simultaneously being thrown into a society that gets more selfish and feminine by the day.
That is the definition of loneliness.
It could only be worse if your wife left you while you were deployed.
