need help trying to get rid of my nicotine addiction

basically i'm quitting ciggies, shit fucked my lungs up, i can feel the rotting

but i can't fucking sleep and i'm sweating like a dog

i heard nicotine patches work but im not sure
should i just do it cold turkey and get sleepless nights, i been awake for 3 days getting in and out of sleep

any tips ?
