no it's not you primitve ape. mewing is just putting your tongue against your palate. i'm going to put on my truecel professor glasses on and assume you're thinking about hard mewing where create a vacuum between your tongue and palate(absolute cope btw). im just closing my airways and breathing in to expand my trachea and stretch my skin. jfl
