Palate expander

I’m getting a palate expander in a week not for looksmaxxing, but to actually correct my bite. However I’m secretly excited for the expander cause i know It can widen my jaw sideways. I’m also curious to know if I can expect any forward maxilla or jaw growth. I’m 17.1

if im assuming correctly thats the one that only attaches to your teeth only? if so then that means your palatal sutures a still open at 17.1 which is really uncommon but yeah it might mean you still can get some forward growth in indirectly but dont count on it

you want lower jaw growth from palate expander? If you need lower jaw and maxilla advancement maybe with some rotation consider djs, might be covered depending on your case and where you live.

Can expect some movement of mandible and maxilla forward a bit. Nothing crazy
