[PART 2] Ranking Over 50 Male/Unisex Fragrances from Best to Worst

Introduction

Once again, I went to Neiman Marcus to sample niche/high-end fragrances. I spent approximately an hour there and smelled between 60-70 fragrances, and I come to present you the best smelling ones in my opinion.

Many of them are niche fragrances, and many come with a decently high or downright expensive price tag.
Each of the fragrances will have a Fragrantica link, where you can view detailed information on the fragrance, its scent profile, best seasons and times of day to wear them, the performance, the sillage, etc.

Alternatively, you can perform further research using YouTube, the manufacturer's website, www.parfumo.com, buy samples online (using decantx.com or www.microperfumes.com) or going to a store which has it in-house and trying it for yourself.

Some IMPORTANT NOTES you must see before reading:

  • Once you get to the B+ tier, it became increasingly difficult for me to discern whether a fragrance is an A, A+ or S tier. B+ tier is really the cutoff for (WOW!) and ("meh" or "good but not Great"). What may be an S tier for me could be an A+ after drying down completely and vice-versa. I may think it's S one day and A/A+ the next day. What may be an A for me may be an S for you, so consider anything above B+ as very good.
  • These are only ranked by tier. If you see a fragrance ranked as #1 in a section, that does NOT mean it's the best in that section. The number order is arbitrary, only the tier a fragrance is in matters!
  • Comment and tell me a fragrance you want me to give commentary on if you're interested. For example, if you want me to talk about Grand Soir by Maison Francis Kurkdjian, just ask and I'll try to answer. I'll be leaving the site again soon so get your question in.

Finally, if a fragrance is in the Starred section, that means it gets a +0.5 boost in rating.

Introduction

Once again, I went to Neiman Marcus to sample niche/high-end fragrances. I spent approximately an hour there and smelled between 60-70 fragrances, and I come to present you the best smelling ones in my opinion.

Many of them are niche fragrances, and many come with a decently high or downright expensive price tag.
Each of the fragrances will have a Fragrantica link, where you can view detailed information on the fragrance, its scent profile, best seasons and times of day to wear them, the performance, the sillage, etc.

Alternatively, you can perform further research using YouTube, the manufacturer's website, www.parfumo.com, buy samples online (using decantx.com or www.microperfumes.com) or going to a store which has it in-house and trying it for yourself.

Some IMPORTANT NOTES you must see before reading:

  • Once you get to the B+ tier, it became increasingly difficult for me to discern whether a fragrance is an A, A+ or S tier. B+ tier is really the cutoff for (WOW!) and ("meh" or "good but not Great"). What may be an S tier for me could be an A+ after drying down completely and vice-versa. I may think it's S one day and A/A+ the next day. What may be an A for me may be an S for you, so consider anything above B+ as very good.
  • These are only ranked by tier. If you see a fragrance ranked as #1 in a section, that does NOT mean it's the best in that section. The number order is arbitrary, only the tier a fragrance is in matters!
  • Comment and tell me a fragrance you want me to give commentary on if you're interested. For example, if you want me to talk about Grand Soir by Maison Francis Kurkdjian, just ask and I'll try to answer. I'll be leaving the site again soon so get your question in.

Finally, if a fragrance is in the Starred section, that means it gets a +0.5 boost in rating.

Nope, I haven't.

Does it beat Oud Satin Mood or Amber Aoud or Arabesque.
Those fragrances have prominent rose notes and I love those fragrances.

Idk cuz I haven’t had a chance to. Which stores have them? I’m in Cali so niche fragrance stores is like a 15m drive not too bad. Bulgaria sahare smells so good to me with the rose note being taif rose. It’s honestly very beautiful just way too expensive with the retail being 460$, discounters like 330$. Try it out I’d love to hear your opinion
