There is definitely some truth to the redpill. I mean they still focus on looks, they just put less priority on the face. And while money and status is treated like a meme here, it actually works. It can help you achieve the best suboptimal scenario out of all the suboptimal scenarios, it just won't help you achieve the optimal scenario(young hot low bodycount girl).

Average looking 33 year old neurosurgeon can get a hot woman in her late 20s/early30s to marry and reproduce with her. I've seen quite a few men who do well financially with much hotter wives. He leverages his money and social capital to get together with a woman that has superior genetics, aka betabuxxing. She's also probably had quite a few Chad cocks by that point though. Obviously this comes with both upsides and downsides. On one hand, you have a hotter woman to look at and fuck. Plus she'll increase your status in all social settings by being near her. And debatably the most important upside is that your kids have higher chances to be born good looking. The downsides are that you'll have to put more effort in the marriage than her, and she'll be more likely to cheat on you and/or divorce you. But at that point it's not like there are better alternatives. No reason to get together with a post wall becky. She'll look like crap, she'll still have been porked by Chad and while it might be less likely that she'll cheat/divorce you, the chances are still not low. Getting with a hot woman in her late 20s/early 30s is your best option if you want family and kids at that point. If family and kids are not for you, you can leverage your money and use them as bait to just fuck, or straight up pay for escorts and sugarbabies. Far better alternatives than not fucking at all.

However, what he can't get is 18-23 year old hot girls lusting after him. To get those as an older unimpressive looking guy, you'll need tremendous amounts of fame(and money) and the chances to obtain those are slim to none. It's actually far more likely that you've already been born a Chad than actually ever reaching those levels.

The problem with redpill is that they think some 40 year old with a good physique that makes let's say 500k/year is going to be porking hot 20 year olds easily without actually paying for it in some way and those women will have genuine desire for him. That doesn't happen. I mean it might be possible if you looked like Cavill, but certainly not for some average looking or above average 40 year old guy.

Accumulating a reasonable amount of status and money will help you end up with a significantly hotter woman to reproduce with compared to before, but that's only if you offer her full commitment and investment. Or it can afford you escorts and sugar babies. That's it honestly. Personally I think it's still a net positive overall. Something you "somewhat" want is better than nothing or something you don't want.
