its a fallacy. no matter how much you self improve there will always be a guy who, whether due to genetics or more commitement or both, self improved more and didnt get laid. At the same time, there is also a guy who didnt self improve at all and is drowning in pussy. Same applies to looksmaxxng as well, there simply isnt any guarantee its gonna get you the pussy.
