Using free models does not necessarily invalidate such a claim. If the individual intends to create a huge-scaled game, the process of locating the correct free models and structuring them accordingly can require a varied length of time.

Perhaps the individual is specifying which variant of Lua that he/she is referring to? "RBX.Lua" merely clarifies that you are referring to the version of Lua usable in ROBLOX, rather than the "pure", generalized version of Lua.

Actually, there are various factors that you seem to neglect. Such factors cannot be ignored Firstly, gaming consoles often have hardware architecture that differs significantly from that of a PC. Consequently, even computers with higher processing capabilities can experience many loading issues within the special case of console emulation. It is not reasonable to state that "C2 > C1 and therefore better" without recognizing the evident hardware contrast between both devices. You should not expect algorithms optimized to manipulate 8-bit data to efficiently manipulate 32-bit data.

The actual use depends entirely on preference and necessity. If you prefer to manipulate hardware functionality on a more direct level, Assembly/C is excellent to utilize. Nonetheless, the majority of individuals seem to prefer high-level abstraction, which is often much more "accessible" to beginners than low-level instructions. Given the simplicity of Lua, I would not consider it reasonable to compare the language to low/middle languages such as C or Assembly.

Well, I suppose that you could use the "f = m * a" formula to calculate the necessary quantity of force. ROBLOX provides the "GetMass()" method to calculate the mass of an object. You may be able to use something such as this: Obj = Environment.Game.Object; Acceleration = 5.8; Force = Obj:GetMass() * Acceleration;

"How would loops help?" The individual who provided advice to use loops was likely under the mistaken assumption that the pseudo-random generator would "switch" numbers after a certain quantity of uses, as opposed to seed based randomization. A seed within math.randomseed() is often necessary to provide a more "unexpected" randomization effect. The vast majority of individuals utilize "tick()" or "os.time()" based calculations to accomplish this. Further information can be found here: http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php?title=Random_numbers

"infinite world" It would not be a "true" infinite world, as computers can only maintain a finite quantity of data. Rather, he/she would need to store and load "segments" of the world as needed. Anyway, returning to the actual subject: Why not familiarize yourself with a concept that you cannot understand very well? Perhaps you create a script to store random strings within a table?

Hmm? This is rather atypical. Typically, any sounds/speech that I hear continue to repeat themselves within my mind for hours at a constant rate. I am certain that this is abnormal. You should consider seeking neurological assistance.

"how could this be a neurological deficiency?" Simple. It is unnatural for any individual to easily omit excessive thoughts/sounds from his/her mind. All "regular" individuals usually continue to have the thoughts/sounds excessively repeat themselves constantly for endless hours. To an extent, it is actually very painful, given that you cannot "shift" your thoughts or rid yourself of the sound. If you are incapable of experiencing this, it is very likely that your nervous-system signalling is impaired.

"no but i want to sometime next year or the year after that since they have a class of it in my hs" "next year" Given that I have arrived, I cannot allow you to postpone such basic concepts for a single year. It is too negligent and narcissistic of me to do so. Computers merely receive sequential instructions. These instructions are termed "algorithms." These algorithms can be packaged as separate segments of a program, known as "functions." Each algorithm is designed to manipulate variable data. Variables refer to unique memory-locations containing specific data. That should be enough for the current moment.

Ah, very classic philosophical question. Well, the essential aspect of the premise that "life" itself does not have any sort of systematic purpose. All "grander schemes of things" are fabricated to provide satisfaction to individuals that cannot recognize that the value of their actions is purely subjective and overall, insignificant. This is actually quite good, because it guarantees that we do not need to live within a specific boundary of behavior. Rather, we can devise our own social-constructs and engage in behavior as we please. "Crime" is nothing more than actions that are perceived negatively by those with differing viewpoints. Fulfill your hedonistic desires as necessary.

Well TheMagentaDelight, your evident naivety is rather astounding, and repulsive. The concept of "living for family" is certainly existent. It is the product of the natural hedonistic-inclinations shared mutually between all human individuals. Relatives provide many individuals with a mechanism to receive self-pleasure via reassurance/assistance from external people. That is why they are so heavily celebrated.

"Don't do a isn't value in the player keep everything in acripts" Yes, I agree entirely. It is quite entertaining to index player data within an accessible table. Here is a rather simple algorithm using your suggestion, given that I enjoyed it so greatly: Level_Data = {["Player1"]={["Level"]= 1,["Exp"]= 10}} Player = game.Players["Player_One"]; function Check_Exp(Ply) if(Level_Data[Ply.Name]["Exp"] < (Level_Data[Ply.Name]["Level"] * 10))then print("Maximum value reached for your level! Increasing the level accordingly..."); Level_Data[Ply.Name]["Level"] = Level_Data[Ply.Name]["Level"] + 1; end Obj.Event:connect(Check_Exp); As for GUI manipulation, you could define the Text data of an object such as a "TextLabel" to the Player's data within the table. Truly, obfuscation is enjoyable.

This is because of the fact that your script is only executing the conditional statement once. You will need to implement some sort of mechanism to execute the conditional statement multiple times. I would personally recommend the use of an event such as this: Obj.Changed:connect(function(Property) if(Property == "Position")then --Execute Lua expressions here. end end) The provided statement will execute whenever an alteration within the Obj's position is detected.

"but isn't that just as efficient as just using a for loop" The pre-writing process should not be negatively affected by the toxin of "inefficiency." That will be handled during the revision segment of the process. This individual should determine whether he/she is actually capable of devising a functional algorithm to accomplish the suggested task. Such a realization is the actual nature of "scripting challenges."

"t["Team"]" Though I would appreciate your effort to assist this individual if I was the person with this issue, using such a Lua expression is equivalent to retrieving the value at the specified table key, which is not the desired effect. As for retrieving the key identifier, the only technique I can think of at the current moment is to simply store the required non-numerical keys within a variable/array for quick accessibility, as shown below: Keys = {"Cookies","Cream","Cake"]; Desserts = {["Cookies"]="A",["Cream"]="B",["Cake"]="C"}; n = 1; --Refers to the "Cookies" index within the Keys table. print(Desserts[Key[n]); --This will print "A"

Drake, while I certainly admire your desire to learn Lua, you must recognize that acquiring scripting knowledge from a sole perspective will likely limit your individual progression greatly, given that interaction with a single individual may directly expose you to potentially-negative bias and logical-restraint. I would personally suggest that you consider acquiring information regarding "pure" Lua and interacting with knowledgeable users to clarify your knowledge of the concepts on an occasional basis only. Here is a link to a subjectively "excellent" resource shown below: http://www.lua.org/pil/

Neither humans nor mosquitoes pose any "higher purpose" than what you choose to infuse their individual existences with.
