Pull ups is by far the best exercise for abs.

david laid also barely ate anything and had a shit sleep schedule but still 99th percentile body. what he does is irrelevant to everyone else

Yeah it takes time, took me like 2 years to have decent numbers, imo just get lean enough and then start bulking.

You can't have shredded abs with APT.
You will look bloated even at 5% bf,expecially your lower abs.

good then just lower your bf and that is all.
For oblique part you must train them so they can become visible.They are easy to get too
 
i've never worked out abs in my life and yet I've always had abs.

my abs would become more protruding and defined if I trained them but it's not necessary just for having abs.

I was at gym today, I am training hard i always try to go for failure and give everything I got, I always go hard and make ugly faces when approaching failure. Rate my today's training (177cm 72kg skinny fat rotter)

I can't pull up half of my weight
Do reverse pullups. Just jump with your legs and slowly descend from pull-up to hanging position. Do it very slowly (as much as you can) and eventually you will be able to to normal pull-ups. Gl bro

If you don’t have abs, you have to train them hard with many different exercises on top of the big 3 lifts.

David laid is roiding but has great genetics for low bodyfat also. Never compare yourself to others, especially guys like laid. He mogs hard

Also all exercises that you do make sure to go super slow on the last rep of each set especially on the eccentric motion (when you are going down with the weight). we are 30% stronger in eccentric than concentric motion. And muscle is build from micro tears. So consistency over a long period of time = muscle growth. Also try to do slow reps rather than many and fast. Ideal are slow and many + 70-80% 1rp. Try to lift with volume + intensity for size. Your reps are too low unless you're powerlifting.

Ab isolation is cope. Strongmen have huge abs that are visible even at 30% body fat and they don't do jack shit for them.

His body takes a year or 2 of natty depends on genetics. Try to lower the weight and get 10 reps atleast. Look at Olympic weightlifters they carry heavy weights but low volume so they are small and.

If you're natty you need to hit everything imo. It's the same with people saying you don't need to hit biceps/triceps directly, because you get it from pullups, lat pulldowns, bench, shoulder presses, etc. Imo, that is not legit. You need to hit arms directly, and you need to hit abs directly.

It's lazy powerliftercel cope that squats and deadlifts are enough for an optimal core. It is one of the most important areas in the body to train imo.

Best basic core exercises:

Plank
Side plank
Knee/leg raises
Tuck ups/ V ups
Ab wheel extensions
Back bridges and ghr

I trained 4 months before on machines and gained some mass. Now after pandemy I am back. I just want to have ripped Prettyboy body like Chico
 

Believe it or not, chinups have the highest level of ab activation. Not weighted chinups but slow and controlled regular chinups.

Chinups beat all ab isolators.

Pretty much everybody in the fitness community believes he is completely lifetime natural. If you've ever made some decent gains, you would know the power of a pump, being lean and good lighting.
