Hmm interesting, i thought i would get a much worse reply, but your points are indeed strong. Different mirror shape, size, amount of light and direction of light all make some slight changes how you look. But my point is that mirror are miles more accurate to selfie pics, although nothing mogs long distance dslr camera candid videos of you chatting with people or sitting by yourself. Funnily enough when the camera quality is to that level of quality, i look indeed the same in the video as when i look myself in the mirror. Selfies tho distort brutally, unless i hold hand far away as possible but with a caveat of shit quality (midrange 2019 phone)

This is what I really want to be widely known. It's almost like we become unaware that the face is a solid object with a whole other dimension compared to that's projected onto a camera lens.
I have an idea. if you look good in more photographs than you don't, that's a sign that you are good looking in person. If you need to take fifty photos to find the one that your jaw isn't recessed in, then it's probably over. This seems to be a good method as is even demonstrated on Chad instragm pages with thousands of photos whereas not so good looking guys will have like 5 photos of them selves ever. (That was the case with me, anyway.)
