Average height here in the USA is 5’9 according to the CDC (2018 data). However, as a college student attending Arizona State University and seeing thousands of zoomers a day from all ethnicities, I can honestly say more than half are under 5’8. I say this because I am a meager 5’11 and am still taller than most other males and yes even the white boys (I’m Native American). I will say that there are a lot more guys 6’1+ than there are under 5’6. In other words, because the upper limit of height is higher than the lower limit, the average height gets inflated. But the point at which 50 percent of men are above or below a certain height (the median height ) is closer to 5’8.

There is no way a 5'11 guy can accurately measure men 5'8 guys by just walking around, when i did it i was only seeing if taller or shorter than me by an inch, anything more is not accurately measurable by just walking around. I just went out and counted the amount of people who were taller than me, both men and women to get a good estimate of the average height. The latest studies show that the average male height is 5'9 and the female height 5'4. This is COMPLETE BULLSHIT. Do we care about the height of 70 year old men and women who had no nutrition in their teen years? NO!

From my results, the average young mans height in the UK is 5'10.5-5'11, The average womans height is closer to the statistic, it was 5'4-5'5 but i can safely say there are an abnormal amount of young women who are taller than 5'5. I saw way too many 5'6-5'8 girls.

Looking at people is not an accurate way to measure height youll always be overestimating it, I thought the average height for everyone im year 12 of high school was 5’8-5’9 just by looking at people but after measuring in group pics and turns out it was a weak 5’6
