Always remember the Brad Pitt rule to gauge her real interest, would she refuse to meet up or be acting flakey if it was Brad Pitt messaging her? Would she say "sorry I have to go to my friend's birthday party"? Hello no, she'd cancel any random pointless shit in her life to meet up with Brad Pitt. If she already has "plans" it means you're not her first priority, so you know it's over before it even began. It's cringey how some guys try to be a penpal for weeks or even months thinking if they chat enough running digital jester game she'll finally agree to meet up.
