Everything true, except I don‘t agree with the malabsorption part. If a child has an autoimmune disorder which leads to being unable to absorb the nutrients from the food he eats, his height will be affected. Catch up growth can happen if treatment begins before growth plates close.
With an autoimmune disorder that causes malabsorption, depending on how severe it is, you may absorb only a small percentage of the nutrients from the food you eat.
An example, american rapper Joe C.
He had celiac disease, most likely since birth, looked like 8 at 26 and was 3‘9. And died of malabsorption.
This is a rather extreme example as most celiacs even if they are undiagnosed their whole life wont have their height stunted this much, maybe by 3-5 inches (but will have far worse problems then height like other health issues, cancer etc.)
But in absence of any chronic disorder, its extremely hard to stunt height. Even if you dont eat much protein or only one meal a day you will still end up reaching your genetic potential most likely
