Teeth may be the most underlooked part about this "looksmaxxing" niche or wtv. I know a lot of people brush their teeth and take care of them, but this thread is just meant to give ya more info on how you could do it better. It's also for those who don't rlly know how to take care of your teeth. And for those who don't take care of your teeth or don't brush your teeth at all. BRUSH YOUR FUCKING TEETH. I used to be that person with the worst smelling breath ever + very yellow ass teeth too. I didn't brush my teeth every single day not even once. I think I even went like a whole year without brushing my teeth. I haven't thought of it as a problem, but after some time I realized its fucking disgusting. My friends made fun of my teeth, my parents too, and just a whole ton of negative situations happening because of my teeth. I was embarrassed to socialize with people, go to dentists checkups, and I have braces too which just makes it worse. Every time I would go to a dentist checkup I would brush my teeth thinking that it would be fine if I just brushed right before, but even then I got shitty feedback from the dentist. I remember I went to a dentist checkup 6 months ago, the dentist basically said I got shitty teeth . Said I had plaque like crazy and blah blah. Now fast forward today I'm actually confident to speak to people knowing my breath isn't shitty and that my teeth color have improved. Went to a dentist checkup very recently and dentist was glazing my teeth and said I had very good gum health. After taking care of my teeth and doing shit about it, it felt good that my work paid off and now I wanna help you guys cuz I know some of you don't even realize you have this problem. I swear if you are not taking care of ur oral hygiene please do. I can't stress enough how important it is. It's such a small matter, but it makes a huge difference. Enough yapping lets get to it. This thread was inspired by another popular post that I saw but it will be much more simple and have some of my original thoughts too. Also YES I KNOW THIS THREAD IS GRASS GREEN AHH THREAD BUT STILL I SWEAR MANY PEOPLE DON'T KNOW SUM STUFF SO READD EVERYTHING.

  • WHAT'S THE NORMAL SCHEDULE FOR BRUSHING YOUR TEETH?
I know this is already very known knowledge, but bro I swear people have werid schedules of brushing their teeth. If your lazy asf just brush your teeth before you eat and before you sleep. Simple and easy. For those who wanna go a step further I gotchu. In Korea many people follow the 3-3-3 method its basically where you
  • Brush 3 times a day (after meals)
  • Wait within 3 minutes of eating to brush
  • Brush for at least 3 minutes each time

You could also brush your teeth extra after staining ur teeth like coffee or stuff. Or if your going on a special occasion.
  • WHAT SHOULD I GET FOR MY ORAL HYGIENE?
Bro I don't know why people overcomplicate this. Like seriously so many tiktok gurus be advertising werid shit. They be saying get this red light thing no wait go get this coconut oil. These methods may work but bro it doesn't have to be this complicated. Obviously, get a toothbrush(try to get a mechanical toothbrush if you can though). Next, is a tongue scraper bro get that nasty shit off ur tongue I swear it makes a good difference. And finally, get a water flosser if you are lazy, but if you are too broke just get normal dental floss. I don't recommend mouthwash as it at least for me the smell is very chemical-like you can use it if you want though, but I wouldn't use it. Finally, is toothpaste I know this is very controversial. There are some people that don't give a shit if they are using fluoride, while some only want to use natural toothpaste, but here's what I'm gonna say. I don't fucking know. I mean I'm not a expert at this shit. I'm not gonna tell you information that I don't fucking know about. However, I can tell you this. USE ANY. Using a toothpaste is way better than just using water so please just use any. Literally use any you are comfortable with. Obviously don't use some shitty ass werid looking poopy toothpaste. I'm currently using marvins toothpaste. It smells pretty good.(Little Note: I have a water flosser rn It's very helpful. You might think you got nothing between ur teeth but I swear after using a water flosser you'll realize how many actual little food particles were stuck between your teeth. Makes a huge difference. Pls buy if you can). If you don't care about using fluoride and only want to try to get the "healthiest" oral hygiene then you can go for fluoride at your own risk. I've seen many research and studies online showing how fluoride prevents cavities, teeth decay, and just overall healthy for ur teeth. I'm not recommending or saying what you should do. Go do ur further research if you do actually care though. Here are some sources.

  • THE COCONUT OIL FALLACY
This isn't really something important, but I just wanted to say something about this because so many tiktok gurus and just people who are trying to grab your money are saying how coconut oil will whiten your teeth like crazy. It won't. Yes, coconut oil can be beneficial by helping to remove plaque and gingivitis.(Here's a source if you wanna research Source.), but it won't whiten ur teeth. Maybe your teeth will look a little whiter but that's literally just because of less plaque and stuff. Coconut Oil has no ingredients to whiten ur teeth at all like hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide, instead it mainly consists of lauric acid which is known for its antimicrobial properties. So it makes no sense that coconut oil would even whiten ur teeth in the first place.

Steps if you wanna try:
  1. Put 1 tablespoon of virgin coconut oil in your mouth.
  2. Swish it gently for 10 to 20 minutes (start with 5 minutes if you are a beginner).
  3. Spit the oil into the trash (not the sink, as it can clog plumbing when it solidifies).
  4. Rinse your mouth with warm water and brush as normal. [1, 2, 3](Again google ai)

  • HOW TO ACTUALLY BRUSH AND FLOSS YOUR TEETH CORRECTLY
Video Watch here(brushing). In a nutshell basically you wanna brush your teeth LOWER GO LOWER. Most of yall are brushing your teeth in the middle not on bottom where your gum is. Go lower it should basically be touching ur gum. It should be half touching ur gum to be more exact. Don't be rampaging ur teeth with ur brush be gentle. And sum common knowledge like get the back of ur teeth(for plaque) and etc. Also spend some good time brushing your teeth don't rush it 2-3 mins. I personally don't use a timer cuz I can just generally tell when I've done enough. But if you want to use a timer then go ahead. Now heres where most people don't say shit about. LEAVE THE TOOTHPASTE ON DON'T RINSE. I swear this made a huge difference on my teeth when it comes to how the toothpaste lasts. When I was a "beginner" I thought that leaving the toothpaste on was unsanitary cuz I thought I was gonna swallow the toothpaste and I just didn't like the idea of it. But when I actually started doing it, my toothpaste lasted way more. I don't know why people don't do this. TOOTHPASTE IS MEANT TO BE ON UR TEETH AFTER THATS WHY ITS CALLED PASTE. After brushing ur teeth spit out all the excess toothpaste, but leave a lil film on ur teeth. I know this sounds kind of confusing and you may not get it. But after you do it a couple times you'll get what I mean. After you leave it on for maybe like 10-15 mins you could rinse but I don't rlly recommend. Keep a very thin layer on for the rest of the day. I don't rinse after and when I do, I at least wait a lil. The only cases where I would rinse is if you needa eat ur breakfast quickly after cuz some people don't like the taste of toothpaste. Also, you won't rlly taste the toothpaste so it won't be disgusting trust me. I swear this is probably the biggest tip that nobody tells you about. PLEASE FOR THE LORD STOP RINSING IMMEDIATELY. Here's my pretty basic routine that changed my teeth completely.

  • WaterFloss(I personally don't do this every single day though just days where I rlly feel like my teeth dirty asl or when I'm not lazy)
  • Brush teeth CORRECTLY(2-3 minutes although I be doing it for a pretty long time cuz im watching youtube while brushing my teeth in the morning so yeah)
  • Spit out all the excess toothpaste
  • Scrape tongue(when ur scraping go pretty deep and I know its uncomfortable but you should be gagging)
  • Leave on a thin film of toothpaste(rinse after like 10-15 mins when you just start if your uncomfortable with the feeling) AND YES YOU CAN SWALLOW ITS A VERY THIN FILM DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT

Video Watch here(Flossing). Flossing is pretty straightforward just get your floss and go between the teeth. Although some people don't do it correctly. Make sure your going to the right and left too not just straight up and down.

  • TAKING CARE OF UR ORAL HYGENIC ITEMS
Please take care of ur brush, tongue scraper, and other stuff. They do get dirty and you don't wanna be using the same filthy toothbrush or tongue scraper after using it for a year. How do you clean it? Me personally, I don't use chemicals to wash. But sometimes not everyday. I will boil hot water and put it over my scraper and my brush. Also replace your brush after like some months of using it. Make sure not to do this too often cuz if ur brush is plastic it may start to break down and don't put it over the items for too long. I know I shouldn't use google ai for my thread but here's what it said about the time and stuff.
To quickly disinfect your toothbrush with boiling water, dip the bristles into rapidly boiling water for exactly 2 minutes. Remove the brush with tongs and immediately run it under cold water to cool it down and prevent the plastic from warping. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Follow these steps to clean your brush safely:
  • Boil the water: Bring a small pot of water to a rolling boil on the stove.
  • Submerge the head: Dip only the bristle head into the water. Never submerge the entire plastic handle, as boiling water can melt or warp the handle.
  • Time it precisely: Leave the bristles in the water for 2 to 3 minutes to kill most germs and bacteria.
    • Cool it off: Lift the brush out with tongs and rinse the bristles thoroughly under cold tap water before using it again. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
Important considerations:
  • Electric Toothbrushes: Do not submerge electric brush heads while they are attached to the device, and avoid boiling the electronic base. [1, 2]
  • Bristle Damage: Boiling water can soften and fray toothbrush bristles, which can reduce their cleaning effectiveness over time. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
  • Alternative methods: You can avoid high-heat damage entirely by soaking your toothbrush in a cup of antibacterial mouthwash or hydrogen peroxide for 5 minutes. [1, 2]
So yeah just be careful how often ur doing it. You can use other methods to clean, but I've never tried so I'm not gonna recommend it, but you can try for yourself.

  • WHITENING YOUR TEETH
Now, I'm not gonna lie to yall. I've never really tried any whitening teeth methods for now. The reason being I have braces. Why does that matter? Because I'm trying to use whitening teeth strips. I will let yall know the whole experience and how that goes. Okay now let me yap about whitening ur teeth. Your teeth can be healthy asl but still not rlly be white if that makes sense. Obviously, its gonna be correlated but still if you don't want to have only healthy teeth but you want ur teeth to also LOOK healthy here are some methods you can try at your own risk Now I'm not gonna recommend anything cuz I haven't tried anything for now. But heres some stuff you can do at ur own risk. Whitening is probably gonna be the biggest impact along with teeth structure. You can have very healthy teeth but ur natural teeth is supposed to be a tint of yellow. So yeah even if you have good, natural, and healthy teeth you probably will still get "mogged" by the 6,4 chad who has pearly whites.

Whitening systems can be variously categorized. The following approach is in accordance with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.2

Whitening Toothpastes

Whitening toothpastes typically contain higher amounts of abrasives and detergents than standard toothpastes, to remove tougher stains. Whitening toothpastes do not contain bleach (sodium hypochlorite) but some contain low concentrations of carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide that help lighten tooth color. Whitening toothpastes typically can lighten tooth color by about one or two shades.

OTC Whitening Strips and Gels

Whitening strips were introduced into the market in the late 1980’s. They deliver a thin layer of peroxide gel on plastic strips shaped to fit onto the buccal surfaces of the teeth. There are a variety of white strip products on the market with varying instructions. A typical set of instructions are to apply the strips twice daily for 30 minutes for 14 days. Tooth lightening can be seen in several days and this method can lighten the teeth by 1 or 2 shades. There are some newer whitening strip products that require only one 30-minute application per day that have the same whitening end point as the two-a-day products.

Whitening gels are peroxide-based gels applied with a small brush directly to the surface of the teeth. Manufacturer’s instructions are usually twice a day applications for 14 days. Like the whitening strips, the teeth can usually be lightened by 1 or 2 shades.

Whitening Rinses

Whitening rinses contain oxygen sources such as hydrogen peroxide to react with the chromogens. Manufacturer’s instructions are for twice a day rinsing for 60 seconds each. It takes up to 3 months to see a 1 or 2 shade improvement in tooth color.

Tray-Based Tooth Whiteners

Tray-based tooth whitening systems are available both professionally and OTC. This method involves use of a fitted tray containing carbamide peroxide-bleaching gel worn for 2 to 4 hours a day or overnight. Usually by following the manufacturer instructions tooth whitening is noticeable in a few days, lightening the teeth by 1 or 2 shades.

In-Office Whitening

Quicker tooth lightening can be achieved through in-office whitening because the products deliver higher concentrations of peroxide than OTC. Consequently, gingival tissues are usually protected before the agent is applied. Some products claim to increase the oxidation of chromogens by exposure to heat or an intense blue light with a wave length between 480 nm and 520 nm to activate the product while on the tooth, causing the chemical reactions to proceed faster. Some professionals use laser systems to increase the rate of the chemical reactions. This use of lasers is considered to be an ‘off-label’ use of laser systems in dentistry by the US Food and Drug Administration. In a systematic review by Buchalla and Attin3 no added benefit from light-activated systems was found and thus the American Dental Association does not endorse such whitening systems. Tooth lightening results are seen after one 30- to 60-minute treatment. More dramatic results can be obtained with several applications.

Risks
Risks commonly reported with tooth whitening include increased tooth sensitivity and mild gingival irritation. The degree of these side effects is directly related to the concentration of the peroxide bleach component, duration of the treatment, and the non-bleach composition of the product used. Tooth sensitivity usually occurs at the time of treatment and can last several days; gingival irritation begins within a day of the treatment and can also last several days. There are additional risks that have been reported from in vitro studies which include tooth erosion, tooth mineral degradation, increased susceptibility to demineralization, and pulpal damage.4 The ultimate endpoint for tooth whitening is dependent upon the tooth itself, with common wisdom telling us that all treatment regimens will eventually arrive at the same whitening endpoint. This is not exactly true as some very aggressive regimens can damage the tooth through dehydration and demineralization such that the tooth temporarily appears whiter.
I literally just copied this from Source so yeah. Credits to them. Go ahead and read if yall want or want to do further research.

  • FRAUDING
I know this is pretty obvious but whitening ur teeth will improve your coloring most of the times. Not all the times will whitening ur teeth will make you look better. It depends. It needs contrast. If your a darker toned individual consider yourself lucky. Most of the times white teeth will look extra better on a darker skin tone as it contrasts better. So if your a lighter skin tone then just go tan.
Take for example Tyson Beckford or Mukasa Kakonge

Tyson Beckford — The Movie Database (TMDB)
james kakonge smile

So one way you can "fraud" better looking teeth is to just go tan. People with darker skin tones even with average teeth will look like their teeth are more white than they actually are, making their smile look significantly better.

  • TEETH STRUCTURE If your parents ask you do you want braces? or do you want to get Invisalign? PLEASE SAY YES. This is probably the most important/life changing thing that I did to my teeth. AND I WOULD CONSIDER IT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING ABOUT UR TEETH. Why you may ask? Because you can change the smell of ur breath and the whiteness of ur teeth in a couple months for teeth structure, after the door is closed its permanently closed you can't change anything. Ok final yapping session. If your teeth structure is ass, meaning you got shark teeth it will drastically fuck up ur smile and just overall when you even open ur mouth. People will make fun of you when you get older and be werided about it. I used to have a teeth behind my other teeth when I was young. Even then many of my peers/classmates would make fun of my teeth. Think about what type of things that my classmates would say now if they saw my teeth. Luckily, I have braces and my teeth are now aligned. Also, braces don't just fix teeth structure/placement to look more harmonious but it can also help your jaw if you have an overbite or underbite. If you are getting braces I recommend to make sure your using your rubber bands as much as possible. Don't forget to wear them. I also recommend a darker color for your elastics on ur braces. This is because if you choose a lighter color with your braces they will become yellow eventually because of the food your gonna eat. Choose black. Now, for taking out teeth, I'm no expert so I won't say shit, but it will probably also fix your teeth. Although, it has more risks to it. I've seen many tiktok gurus saying how it can change ur jaw but me personally I don't think it will so you will probably be fine if you needa take out teeth. Another reason you should get braces is age. It's very important to get braces at a young age because after your around 18 it will be way harder to change your teeth. You may need to take out teeth and then do braces after which is just way worse. Teethpill. Here is an example of a "teeth ascension" using braces.

  • OTHER THINGS YOU CAN DO
This is common sense, but just try to avoid foods that will stain your teeth. Other things that you can do is chew gum, mints, and breath mint. BUT PLEASE I BEG FOR THE LORD OF THE WALLAHI HABIBI DO NOT REPLACE THESE THINGS WITH UR ACTUAL ORAL HYGEIENE. Only use these things to assist you in your oral hygiene, it will only make it worse if you are replacing it.
  • CONSISTENCY I've read many posts on the looksmaxxing community especially the ones that are considered "Best of the Best", but there's one that really stood out to me. It was a post talking about consistency. When I just got into this niche I didn't really think about consistency THAT MUCH. Obviously I thought about it and told myself I just needa this and that and improve myself. But heres the harsh truth nobody is admitting. YOU NEED TO WORK HARD. Every aspect of life is related to hardwork(if you wanna succeed). Bro you are not going to "ascend" in a month, your not gonna earn 10,000 in your first month, and you aren't gonna become the best soccer player by practicing one time. Many of the people on the org don't emphasize consistency on how it should be. Its literally pointless reading all of this and thinking about doing it. JUST ACT, GET UR BOOTY OFF THE CHAIR AND JUST START DOING. The difference between people who actually act and people who just think around is so huge but at the same time small. I know it sounds contradictory, but you will get it in the future. So if you are not going to commit yourself to at least brush your teeth and take care of your teeth, I have one thing to say. Just quit. You either lose the effort or you lose the want. So if you don't want it that badly then just quit. It's that simple. CONSISTENCY IS LAW. Here's the post that changed my whole perspective on "looksmaxxing" you may have already clicked on it, but please actually read and reflect on this shit. It will change your perspective on this looksmaxing stuff or even just life itself after you actually understand it. the thread. I know this is very unrelated, but heres another good thread you should read.2nd thread.
  • CONCLUSION
Many of you guys will not read everything, but I hope that you at least learned at least one or two things from this. I know this post is mainly water, but I hope it helped. Also, I didn't wanna include the actual anatomy of teeth and how it actually works cuz then this post would be too long, so I only included the essential things you needa know. If you wanna go ahead and dm me for questions, things about the post, advice, or just wanna talk to me feel free to do so. I spent a couple of days working on this post, so I would appreciate if you glazed me in the comments. I will be updating and revising this post as much as I can. Thank you guys for reading. Remember guys its never over(at least if you put in the fucking work).

Now that I do think about it, it kinda is way too long.
