Travel to another state for bimax

Anybody have experience traveling out of state for bimax/jaw surgery? my orthodontist recommended me to a surgeon here but he doesn't seem to have much experience just based off what he said he would want to do. Tried to talk me out of bimax and only do bsso. My bite is great from previous braces but im recessed with breathing issues. He just wants to pull teeth and create an overjet for a bsso only. Id rather travel and have a better known surgeon. Not sure how insurance works that way(if insurance even would for out of state) or if i have to pay all out of pocket to get a decent surgeon. Im in Louisiana and there dont seem to be many options

No, they didnt want to cover it eventho my supervisor said I need it

a friend of mine will fly to Russia to get bimax with dr Andreishchev soon
If you don't like Andreishchev I recommend choosing an italian OMS, they are pretty cheap, blackpilled and very expert

I would be so scared to get surgery in russia. The huge price difference (my town 30k, russia 6k) makes my scared, and i imagine a horror scenario where i get in to a cheap and dirty hospital with strange assistants that cant speak any english and give a fuck about me as a tourist.
Still on the other hand, i have nothing to lose as a incel. The prices are really really good.

It's going to run you 30-40k to get it done with a decent surgeon in the US and in some cases that doesn't include hospital stay. You can get it done with a decent surgeon in Germany or Italy for like 20k including the hospital stay.

I was going to have a consult with Gunson and then antipov until I started looking at Europe. Raffaini or alfario I’ve heard are good. Not sure if I need to visit them first. Multiple trips to Europe for this doesn’t sound fun
