Q: Why do we find the things we find attractive attractive?
A: ELONGATION.
We humans love the aesthetic of elongated shapes.
Shapes that are longer on least 1 axis look better than shapes that have roughly equal dimensions on all 3 axes.
We generally prefer:
Which one looks better? Probably the lever-style door handle, right?

- narrow noses > wide noses
- tall height > short height
- forward-grown facial profiles > flat facial profiles
- skinny > fat
- long legs > short legs
- thin electronic devices > thick electronic devices
- wide aspect ratios > squarish aspect ratios
- sleek-looking products > clunky-looking products
- skyscrapers > short buildings
- etc.
Which one looks better? Probably the lever-style door handle, right?
