My derm said I should consider a "laser" over micro-needling but she didn't mention any specifics.
I'm getting lost in the buzzwords and all the types of different "lasers" the clinics offer.

What buzzword should I be looking for and what has worked for you guys?

I'm also on Isotretinoin atm.

This seems to suggest a "vascular laser" is what I need but I can't find anything by that name on the menu.

Apparently CO2 laser + PRP gives the best results

Interesting thread since I need to fix my scars too

The main thing is to make sure you go to a very good dermatologist who can tell you whether or not your scars are "tethered".

This means that they are effectively after connecting to skin cells beneath the scar and when this happens, all the CO2 lasers and chemical peels in the world won't improve you unless you get a procedure called "excision" first. When you get this it releases the scar tissue from the skin it is bonded to and only then will the procedures work.

I got scammed out of so much money going to con artists who just prescribed laser treatments until I finally travelled to a renowned dermatologist who told me that I needed excision first. Treatments became a lot more effective after.

Depends on your scars, from scar detaching (excision), to peels, dermaneedling and so on.
Rolling and tret (DIY) did it for me, but i didn't have deep or big scars.

Hadn't heard of excision, useful to know. I'll ask my derm about it.
Sorry it's called "subsicion"- my bad. Excision is another treatment where the scar is cut out. Subsicion is releasing tethered scars so that laser/chemical treatments will actually work. Make sure you ask if your scars are tethered or not before you do any treatment.

Can you post results if you have pictures or at least explain what you did and how it improved your skin?

No point in posting pics, I've only had one session with this derma and it takes between 6 and 8 to complete it. He performed subcision and then CO2 laser resurfacing immediately afterwards and then injected 1.5ml Radiesse after this to stimulate further collagen production. I would say that there has been a 10 to 15% improvement in my scarring after this one session. It would seem imperceptible to most and probably doesn't seem like much but I spent YEARS getting treatments prior to this without any improvement so it is impressive in that context.

It's just something to bear in mind if you are getting laser or chemical treatments and not getting results. If scars are tethered, then subcision needs to be performed before other treatments for these other treatments to have any effect.

Probably should warn that subcision is done after local anaesthesia is applied to numb the face so it isn't painful- however it makes your face balloon up with swelling and bruising as though you just went a couple of rounds with prime Tyson. I got mine done around the temples and I still had black eyes a week after treatment. So if you are getting it done you might need to factor in around 10 days where people will be staring and questioning what happened to you. This might not happen as badly if your scarring is on the lower cheeks or chin (mine was just close to the delicate eye area which obviously causes blood to pool)

Saw a derm today.
Asked her specifically about the "punch excision" and "subcision" procedures you guys mentioned.
According to her, nobody in our 2nd world country practices those for acne scar removal. She also said it's not done in the rest of Europe which sounds sus.
Her best offer to me was radiofrequency microneedling and PRP. Claimed it would be more effective than CO2 for ice pick scars.

This sucks.

How’d you get DIY tret
