This post is informational for people coming into the manosphere via the MGTOW funnel which was big in 2016.
r/MGTOW was a sizeable reddit community during the time and MGTOW was flourishing with some members like Sandman and others. It was part of a larger community commonly known today as the Manosphere.
The manosphere is a highly segmented demographic of men, who put themselves forward compared to women and soysociety.
Demographic Segments of the Manosphere
Content creators today like Hamza would be considered in the self-improvement space and if he made content back in 2016 he would be quite literally the personification of MGTOW since geomaxxing at it's core was cope since it doesn't exist, or at least it really doesn't for most non-chadlite+ whites in 2024.
MGTOW as a whole will not stop until two conditions are met, and I believe it is too late for the country to go back to the past like it was in the 60s.
1. Foids who completely submit to their man in non-governmental relationships either through their will or their family's will.
2. A government that completely protects men to the highest degree in relationships without alimony, child support, and cucked consent and rape terminology.
Until this happens, MGTOW will exist in deviant forms, inequalities will continue to grow, until a new class is born from the ashes of the post-modern world, and there's a good change MGTOW will be the ones leading it if AI doesn't become our overlords or the NWO and their lineages take unchecked power over world social order.
If you are looking for MGTOW today, you'll find it in hardcore male self-improvement like Tate's War Room & Real World, Hamza's Adonis related programs, and the various other self-improvement sphere guys, although some are more red-pilled vs going their own way, there is significant overlap and groups like Hamza will be almost completely their own way, and likely smaller groups beyond the surface that are invite only are even more so on that side.

- MGTOW (Now segmented and lost traction as a consolidated movement of geomaxxing and wealthmaxxing)
- Geomaxxers (Doesn't exist for the majority of men because of exploitation of expats and incentive to use corruption against you, COPE)
- Gymcel/Gymtok (True MGTOW ideology here)
- Blackpillers/Incels (Lay Down and Rot LDAR idology here, failed MGTOW but still a pure school of thought)
- Redpill (Segmented by dating and self-improvement (True MGTOW ideology in the latter))
- Mens Rights (intl. political movement with different traction in different countries. India has a very vocal Mens Rights community.)
