In the library studying for a final and one is sitting across from me, every 15 fucking seconds he clears his throat and does this weird ass coughing sound that's insanely fucking loud

Yes tons, I've seen this behavior in them multiple times, this weird ass hyper loud cough thing, but I don't have the time to type out 5 more stories

Because they’re typically the upper middle class/rich financial elite in their home countries. Not to mention, Arrogance (from a western view) is a major part of East Asian culture. Especially among the financially established.

I mean he didn’t really destroy you. Asian immigrants are known for being stuck up and annoying. Even other East Asians say this about each other (for example, the Japanese hate Chinese visitors due to bad behaviour)

It depends on what type of Asian you’re talking about. South East Asians are good people that are humble. You rarely see them being arrogant.

East Asians however are not humble whatsoever. When they visit other countries, they are notorious for bad behaviour and flashing money/jewellery (which makes them easy targets for thieves).

The foreign exchange students from there also tend to flash their parents money, crash cars and pay to cheat on tests. some are cool people
However (I was friends with one that was nice).

They hate each other due to history but part of the Japanese hate for Chinese people is Chinese visitors power tripping and acting foul in Japan during vacations

SEA gets its culture from EA, their humulity also comes from EA.

I agree Ive noticed this as well. However popular stereotypes and Asian culture depicts Asians as being humble. They look down on other Asians that display Americsn confidence. I saw it on a Penn State sociology professors yt channel. I forgot his name tho.

It seems like they left their humility in SEA.

It depicts Asians as being humble but they aren’t anymore. They used to. East Asians were humble before Korea/Japan got westernized and China became an economic juggernaut.
