You're retarded if you're eating carbs

Yea, and that's the problem. It's inefficient and opposes the efficient, stress inhibiting oxidative process over stress promoting catabolic lipid peroxidation
Breaking down fat as energy also causes stress, so what? Should you not lose fat? Should you gorge yourself on lots of carbs every hour to keep your body from oxidizing fat? A ketogenic diet reduces inflammation in the body, which greatly reduces stress, so the net result should be less stress on the body.

Is walking bad for you? Because most of the energy during a walk comes from fat.

Is lifting weights bad for you? Because that puts a lot of stress on the body.

I think you're reading some studies and then overemphasizing the effects on a little bit of stress on the body. The body is constantly under stress.

Excessive, yes.

Maybe if you're a carnivore.
There is a lot of stress happening in your body right now even if you're eating a "perfect vegan diet."

No one's advocating for a vegan diet at all

Don't tell him, let him keep on eating his raw sirloins.
Genetics and a lot of physical activity. Being shredded at 4-5k calories is not normal (unless he just started eating that much). If I ate 4k calories, I would get fat pretty quickly. He would probably look even leaner if he ate less and didn't use deca.

Lean in both photos. In the first pic he is low carb and then carbs up right before the show, in the other he is high carb, high calories, deca, test, etc.

It's a prime example of what a high carb high calorie diet in conjunction with certain steroids do to you. It bloats the shit out of your face.

Obviously leaner in the first pic, but lean in both. Looks more bloated in the off season pic. Eating more carbs, deca, etc. Your face is not suppose to be that bloated at that body fat. There are pics of him from his college days when he was also muscular, his face was much leaner.

The level of irony. Liver is the single most nutrient dense food in existence yet it’s also the cheapest.

if we're talking about being lean, isn't it just about calories?

In terms of body fat, yes. But carbs make you hungry and overeat, while foods high in animal fat and protein do not.

so you;re saying that carbs make it harder to stick too a calories deficit

I just find atkins diet shit disgusting. You get bored of eating chicken and eggs FAST! I massively start to crave food that tastes nice and get jealous as fuck watching people eat toast and stuff for breakfast lol

Sometimes I even just skip meals as the thought of more protein makes me feel sick

Atkins sucks, it's all about carnivore. High fat animal foods, mostly red meat. I also eat a decent amount of cheese to please my palate.

I'm about to have some ribeye steak for breakfast :y'all:

You can't gain muscles without eating carbs

You can't gain muscle if you're on a caloric deficit, and good luck reaching 3kcal+ without carbs
1. You can gain muscle while in a calorie deficit, it's just harder as progressively overloading in a deficit can be challenging (but not impossible)

2. You don't need 3k calories to be in a surplus unless you are very physically active or overweight. A surplus of 200 calories or so is all you need for optimal muscle building, you can even build muscle while eating at maintenance.

Carbs. Not even once.

Imagine eating food in the first place. Who would possibly do that???

Makes you hungry (fat), bloats your face (insulin), gives you shitty skin, drives inflammation and crashes your energy. Only Chad can get away with eating carbs and not having any negatives, so unless you are Chad, you should stay away from carbs and focus your diet around animal products.
lack of carbs causes thyroid problems and is also bad for weight training
