Anyone else had problems with this shit. Absolute suicidefuel. Took 50mg for 6 months, things seemingly getting better I was almost completely clear at the end of treatment. More or less skinmaxxed. However I finished my treatment 2 weeks ago and now I’m seeing horrible whiteheads and rashiness and inflamed skin.

that was me, just before finishing accutane.
This is me now :

one week later... 🤡
I don’t know what to do at this point? Could this possibly be withdrawal and my skin is adjusting or should I try extend my accutane or would that even work? This isn’t severe or cystic acne but that rashiness is still ugly asf. Anyone have any a

it might just be a temporary breakout which will settle soon and you'll be fairly clear again.
If I remember correctly that happened to me once after taking it

I've taken it about 3 times! (first time through a dermatologist, 2nd and 3rd times self medicating)

You're likely to have better skin than pre accutane either way

Worst case, i'd wait 6 months and then maybe go on it again, but at a lower dose.

ps - jelly of your hair

Thanks so much. Gives me hope. skin is my main failo and insecurity. literally hate going outside of the house depending on my skin. My hairs thinned out on accutane hoping it makes a return. I wouldn’t want to go on accutane again but I may have to. Just thought this shit was permanent.

That’s what I don’t get. Redness is usually associated with being on accutane. It isn’t large cysts or large spots more small whiteheads and redness.

Dude let me guess, you were in the sun the last couple of days?

No actually quite the opposite. Do you experience redness after this? Or rashes?
If you were exposed to the sun for a prolonged time I'd guess it wasn't a rash but a sun burn, which got 10 times worse because of the accutane.

Yeah I tried to avoid the sun while on accutane. Perhaps I’m too soon to jump to conclusions. I’d just rather put this to sleep early before my skin gets bad again.

Ps- how do you self medicate with accutane, did you manage to find it online?

yeah, got it on some website the 2nd time and on the dark web the 3rd time.

My first course massively helped my skin (I had super bad cystic acne that fucked me over big time) but it slowly came back. Never as bad as before, but still annoying. So I done a few low dose courses myself to just keep it at bay.

on a side note, please get a lip lift and use a lip widening device

i currently have redness and whiteheads on my cheeks let me know if you find out what it is

Seriously? Is this a big failo? Will it help harmonise my face or could it deharmonize it? I know I have relatively small lips never really cared so much though. What’s the price like? What’s the costs of this? Any lipmaxxing tips?

Any links or advise on getting it over the dark web/ sites? would be a massive help if this doesn’t subside. Have you tried retin a or any topical tretnoin?

Why not just use adapalene? It got rid of acne for me without accutane.

yeh for sure. that's your biggest failo imo from what I can see. Your bones already look good.

And it definitely will harmonize it. Your philtrum is too long. Lip lift will make it shorter, which improves chin to philtrum ratio and makes your midface look more compact. It's a pretty cheap and quick surgery which is why I recommend it. Only thing is sometimes the results can give you this duckface/feminine look, but that's if it's done bad. Here's a thread on lip lifts

Your lips are also too narrow. Ideally, the lips should be a bit wider than the nose. So use a lip widening device.

If you can't get the device, then you can just stretch your lips with your fingers. Although I would suggest getting the device. This guy got good results, but he deleted the photos.

@Phillybeard1996 also got good results so you can pm him if you want pics. But he did get lip fillers as well

Also brush your lips when you're brushing your teeth. Makes your lips smoother and redder/pinker

I hate excessive skincare would much rather an oral cure/ minimal effort. Although I would use topical given it provided great results. How much would you spend on adapalene a month?

Thanks so much dude. I’m only 17 and my mother would likely take a stroke if I started talking about surgery plus I’m only working weekends and summers as I’m still in high school/ secondary school and may not afford . Thanks for the tips. I’ll look into the appliances though. My mouth is quite narrow and I don’t like my teeth smile even though I have great teeth. It looks gammy. I’m not sure if my maxilla is fully widened. Any other methods that aren’t surgical? Appliance looks good to me

it's cheap like 5 dollars. you use it once a day. but it takes 1-3 months to work because it takes time to bring deep acne to the top and make it disappear.

Did your skin typically get worse before it got better? Like most retinoid treatments? Collagen increase?

yes it did and was itchy but not much worse. 90% of wrinkles disappeared too.

nothing really seemed to help the type of acne I had (have) other than accutane
It was more sporadic, horrible large cystic type acne that lurked under the skin. Too deep for anything topical to help I feel.

In terms of links, it's pretty easy. Use TOR and then you can use darkweb market places to buy it.

I personally used clearweb from a UK site (first time around) that I knew sold steroids etc and he happened to have accutane in stock.

it's fine you don't have to get it. You have good bones and assuming your eye area is normal, you should be okay. It's just that if you want to looksmaxx that should be one of the main things addressed.

Any other methods that aren’t surgical?
nah tbh. Your problem is mouth width which can be addressed with the mouth widening devices. And philtrum length/lack of upper lip which can only be fixed by lip lift (or growing a beard but I don't suggest that for now). There's nothing else that needs to be addressed as far as your lips.

Thanks I’ll look into it. Hoping it isn’t too pricey because I don’t know if I have money to afford it depending, loved my skin on it. hoping this is just a withdrawal breakout atm.

Maybe when I’m older I’ll look into it. Just surgery is a bit out of my range atm. I never really thought of my lips as a huge failo was really focused on skin. Suppose my photo trim does give me a somewhat long midface. I could also leanmax more as I’m around 12-14% bf ( 2-4 pack abs depending on lighting.) my eyebrows I think could do with thickening. My eyes I think are decent enough. I have blue-green eyes with aego sal and slight hooding. Not hunter eyes though. My jaw and cheekbones are decent, though skin inflammation takes away from them. I have no real browridge but I don’t think one would harmonise my face. My hair is thinned out a bit but I attribute that to the accutane but hope it would return soon. Thanks for your advice I’m pointing out my own thoughts on what I fall short in and if I’m wrong in any let me know as it seems you would understand harmony much better than a greycel like me.

Hey whats your diet? You need to start eating more liver which is a natural vitamin A source aka retin-a

My diet is pretty shit tbh. I barely eat any vegetables but I’ve supplemented beta carotene. I know for a fact pre accutane sugar would definetly cause breakouts. I eat lots of processed foods, mainly either processed meats like chicken fillets and carbs like plain pasta bread beans, along with waffles and stuff. What diet do you think goes best?

Hey, vegetables won't affect your skin one way or another so don't stress about that.

- Limit starchy Carbs like bread+pasta+flour based ( sugar from fruits or fruit juice is good )

- Eating real protein of any kind as long as it's in its original state (Not processed and breaded) Make this most of your diet

- Watch your dairy intake (Don't swap to soy though as its estrogenic)

- Get lots of sun and vitamin d

So a protein based diet with no refined sugars, what’s the cheapest best option. My mother cooks most nights, kind of hard at 17 to establish your own diet. I think I just needa stop eating sugar, basically sacrifice taste for skin

I would suggest just avoiding it the most you can and eating foods high in vitamin a. If your mum cooks then just ask her to try and cook a bit healthier.

sounds good. Thank you very much appreciated

I went on mine for like almost a year, it was really long (acne was very bad and all over)
When I went on it, my skin started to get bad again but not by much. A few spots here and there, so it freaked me out
But eventually they kind of went away and now I'm at a stage where I basically have clear skin all over but I get a couple spots depending on what I eat (months after accutane)

Yeah I think I’m the same. thankfully most of that acne cleared up I’m guessing it was withdrawal or something. My skin isn’t as good as it was on accutane yet still much better than it was before accutane.

yeah it'll probably stay like that for a while
Dreading the day I go back to acne everywhere though lol

My back, chest and shoulders were covered in spots and now it's completely gone - I have scars but especially with a tan it looks good.
Accutane was worth it tbh, fuck coping with diets (you gonna eat like a caveman forever LOL?)

Accutane is just vitamin A in really high dosages.
If you were to eat foods high in vit A like liver you would get the same effects but without the sides.
Many people nowadays are vit a deficient. If you dont get vit a into ur diet ur acne will prob come back like before in the future. You also need to balance vit a with protein because high protein depletes vit A.

Agreed. Caveman eating is worse life quality than looking good tbh. I still try avoid sugar tho as that’s the main shit breaks me out

Yeah that’s true I supplement beta carotene which is Vitamin A however isn’t retinol vitamin A ( isotretinoin ) but I’m hoping conversion happens so any deficiency is met

Yes tretinoin is just topical synthetic vit a

Beta carotene is not vit a at all, and the conversion of that to vit a is way too small to make any difference. So you still need to eat foods high in vit a like carrots and liver.

This why I didnt hop on accutane, high risk and high relapse chance.
