Tried pretty much everything out there
Doxylamine
Citrezen
Levocitrezen
Loratadine
Desloratadine
Bilastine
Fexofenadine 60,120,180 MG.
Montelukast
Fluticasone nasal spray
None of them actually works perfectly for me, since I also have ashtma, other than citrezen, every other anti histamine mentioned thicks my mucus and airways, results in ashtma attack lol.
Only citrezen, levocitrezen and fexofenadine ( 60 mg) worked so far but even these two are not that great.
If I take more than 60 mg of fexofenadine, it makes my airways tight, really bad by making the mucus extremely thick and impossible to move, I still get itchy hairs, heat and sweating but what I have found that 60 mg is the perfect dosing, taken every 12 hours instead of once a day 120/180 mg.
I don't have hives, but sometimes I do sweat and itch, I get brain fog because of itchy swollen eyes due to allergies.
What works the best?
Citrezen, hands down probably the best anti histamine on earth, but since it reduces IQ by impairing cognitive functioning and abilities due to crossing brain blood barrier, it binds to h1 receptors in brain ( 20-40%..!). It still never induced any fatigue, lethargic or any drowsiness in me atleast, shit is like ambrosia tbh.
But I still can't take it because I don't want any cognitive impairment or damage, it can also cause brain cancers like gliomas.
I think fexofenadine 60 mg twice every 10 hours is probably the best for now.
Side effects = thick mucus ( still far better than 120/180 mg).
Little bit of itchy eyes, itchy hairs and itchy skin a little.
Side effects are not that bad, benefits still outweigh the side effects.
But I wish something perfect was there, something exactly like citrezen but without crossing any brain blood barrier ( like fexofenadine).
Citrezen doesn't makes my mucus thick at all, and at the same time removes 100% of all allergy related symptoms.
I take otrivin ( afrin) + flucticasone nasal spray + fexofenadine to keep my allergy + breathing in control.
