Bonesmashing is the same thing as what muay thai fighters does to their shins. They create micro fractures to their legs in order to kick better. When muay thai masters repeatedly kick hard things they shins start to develop calcium deposits because of micro fractures. The same thing happens when you run a lot, the bones on your legs will get denser. As a result of the change in bones, the muscles surrounding will also increase in density.
I'm not sure if any muay thai masters have managed to get larger shins because of conditioning, but according to some they get "denser" and "harder". If you can increase bone density in shins you could do it in zygos too.
