Does anyone look better when the light source is behind them rather than in their face?

When I take a picture of myself, having the light source behind me highlights my features and gives me hollow cheeks, compared to the boneless look front lighting gives me.

Is this legit? Does anyone else experience this effect?

Same thing happens to me.

No I look my best in bright light or the sun

Any lighting not shining the underside of my chin/jaw is decent enough.

It’s the most known fraud yes. It applies to almost everyone. That’s why you see boneless twinks looking down on cameras a lot. Cuz lights are usually from above
