fake maxilla / midface mask implant coming soon

So I need to get a ct scan for my cancer and I dont have insurance and they want 4000 up front for it. I'm probably just gunna head back to turkey real quick and have that done, so im expediting this round of surgeries. gunna have to quit my cancer meds about 2 weeks in advance and stay off them for another 6 weeks post op. I need a kenalog shot for my rhino swelling, so im also gunna go ahead and do that.

I just got my quote back, and im looking at dropping a little over 20 grand for this round. the plan includes the full mask implant, chin implant (im trying to wide it in one direction to correct asymmetry, fill in the labiomental region, and lower the edge of it a bit), a midface lift, and a ton of fat grafting (micro fat and nano fat).

pretty excited. hopefully gunna get around to it in a month or so. ive become good friends with the designer, as well as the scheduler, and of course the surgeon. so i can contact them all personally which helps with the process.

lol you have cancer and you’re botched LMFAO

teeth clenched vs relaxed. i have a ridiculously deep bite so i rarely clench teeth. cant get braces to fix that til im off my cancer drugs but that wont be any time soon
you have a aesthetic philtrum curve, but you are in NEED of something for the upper lip. Lip lift and maybe filler but the the risks of the midface mask implant are way higher than the potential positives I wouldnt bother with it, also you have very steep mandibular plane either you can cope with it and add width with some filler to the gonion which you also need or you can do a jaw implant focused on vertical height, but there are risks with dehis and implant show as well but imo that and upper lip are your biggest flaws, your just gonna have to live with this midface falo though its less of a falo than you think.

everyone else has really got me to not even consider jaw angles anymore. how would u design them? i cant really imagine them looking good on me at all. u can see here a full smile is right on the border of showing gunna so i think lip lift isnt an option anymore. just filler would work ig and thats way easier

i mean it would be design for added vertical height your width is good there are risks for dehis or implant show but you have a pretty big falo the jaw is super steep. You can use fat or filler ontop of the implant for angularity would give u mogger jaw

i was just saying in this thread the only times i ever see jaw implants actually work is when they extend below the gonions so maybe. once my designer gets a draft to me with my ct scan i'll see about it. i dont have any software and cant find a good free one so i cant look at my skull til he sends me something

why are you even thinking about touching the midface look at that angularity you got looks great from front maybe just gonion filler for now and then if thats not enough jaw angle. Gonion filler Lip filler and like fat grafts could be enough

Agreed, maybe jaw angle implants. Literally an angular jaw puts you ahead of the vast majority of men and you don't have to fuck around with the orbits or nasal cavity to to get a good result.
From what ive seen it seems like filler mogs jaw angles so far

so youre thinking an implant to carry this angle further back here like this roughly? i think these are more successful than the width targeting ones

im finally starting to see some results from spamming skincare. definitely happy about that. but all the fat grafting and face lift resilts are bout to blow that outta the water

When you say that when the implants look good are only when they extend below the gonions, you mean implants to lengthen the ramus in vertical or do you mean implants that increase the width of the jaw and also cover below the gonions.

Wowww. Have u researched the impact a high vs normal lefort cut makes to midface? Some kid in discord arguing he need high cut
iqlet here, could explain what deffrence would it make?

heres some results off epply's before and afters. the girls an extreme case, but see how these are all kinda hanging off the back of the ramus?

the implant isnt stuck to the side of bone that was already there, it hands way below the bone previously was. the planning would look more like this i think:
IMG 0539

the back edge of this is a whole centimeter lower than his previous jawline was.

i think it ends up bad when they go and throw the implant directly on the side of the existing bone like this:

but obviously if ur ramus already goes low enough, this is how youd have to do it. i just think these are the cases that end up with meatball jaws, where as the first cases (which actually might be closer to mine) usually end up with pretty clean angles

edit: so yeah i coulda just said extend the ramus whoops 🤦🏼

Fire dude, and yeahh ive been looking st facelifts recently shits crazy. There’s this one dude that does crazy transformations named dr nayak. Though he does charge 100k+ at minimum 💀.
Yeah it’s super fun

The truth is that local max facs can deliver pretty much the same result in the vast majority of cases. I've always been wary of the celebrity surgeons promoted by .org.
Depends what country. Issue with local/bimax through the public healthcare system is that a lot just exclusively focus on occlusion/function.

Private ones relies on people coming to them, and you get that with best aesthetic outcomes.

From what I've seen, most jaw implants look uncanny and underwhelming. Have you seen any good results?
To me it makes much more sense to reshape vs just adding mass. So if you have inward gonions, wouldn't small/"sharp" jaw angle implants in combination of shaving off some bone make the most sense

Reasonable caveat. Was really referring to private max facs.

So heres my ct. designer says its all bumpy because the plates are throwing it off. hes gunna refine it, then start the design process this weekend. heres some shapes i drew on them to say kinda what i wanted. i went ahead and threw in the idea of the ramus lengthening implants. u guys can draw on the ct scans if u had other ideas of stuff that might be good

With a midface implant, isn't there a risk to your smile/philtrum/uncannieness when for example smiling? Since teeth will be in the current position, but lip will extend further due to the implant mass

my smile is doomed to look like shit forever anyway i think. i was never able to show my teeth until after djs this year anyway so im ok with just not showing them often

Why not do marpe or fme

can't heal. i'm angiogenesis drugs that would still the bone from growing in the split
Before, you said you could be off those meds for a short time, right? Honestly, I think you can finish the expansion and consolidation phase in under 2 to 3 months. Also, there are ways to speed it up—for example, you can place TADs along the ANS and the anterior part of the maxilla and take them out right after to accelerate bone growth. It works on a similar principle as a corticotomy to speed up tooth movement.

Also, my friend had MARPE, and 3 months after installation, his suture was fully filled (probably earlier, but the X-ray was taken at 3 months)

maybe theres a possibility. it said i couldnt even have braces though, because the bone around the teeth is constantly rehealing during movement. which would definitely take longer to fix the bite after. so in total i think it would need to be closer to a year

Yeah, probably a bad idea to try something like that. Best-case scenario would be under a year, but there might be complications, so it's better to just accept a narrow smile.

yeah. worst case scenarios in this situation are way too shit for me to risk. possible the palate never heals the bone never heals as the teeth shift so they just fall out
