He was a famous actor and model. why does someone like him die young? It makes me wonder whether karma is real. I mean he was obviously the epitome of health, so radiant and glowing, yet he suddenly dies of heart attack. Same thing with Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther lead actor who passed away at 40 suddenly of cancer). Why would such an honorable healthy young man die so soon while other unhealthy men who contribute very little, live long lives? It makes no sense sometimes. I think this seeming dichotomy can best be explained by King Solomon in Ecclesiastes where he takes a nihilistic view while discussing the meaningness of life:
- Ecclesiastes 7:15 "In my vain life I have seen everything. There is a righteous man who perishes in his righteousness, and there is a wicked man who prolongs his life in his evildoing."
- Ecclesiastes 8:14
"There is a futility that is done on the earth: There are righteous men who get what the actions of the wicked deserve, and there are wicked men who get what the actions of the righteous deserve. I say that this too is futile."
In a way, perhaps it is a blessing in disguise to leave this earth before old age hits. I personally have mused as to what the point in living in old age and sickness is. Tbh, I would much rather live a full sweet shorter life (say 50 years) than a long bitter life (100 years) full of regrets, pain, suffering, and ill health.
