I just took a shower and I think accutane triggered my MPB genes! I’m 20 years old and I counted the hairs that came out, if I go hard with both hands through my hair I can get like 40 hits to come out!

SOMEONE HELP! Did accutane trigger MPB? Or is it just unstoppable accutane thinning? Someone help me I’m so fucking scared....I can already see my scalp and I think it’s getting even thinner. Please god I’m so scared. Would finasteride even work? What the fuck does minoxidil even do? If I started it I wouldn’t be able to stop right?

Minox grows hair but it stops working and you lose all the hair you gained if you stop it. Fin is useless if your hairloss is unrealted to DHT. You should see a specialist tbh to determine the cause of hairloss before anything

Only thing is in the shower I keep seeing 1-3 hairs stuck to my hands if I shampoo my hair and I keep doing it every time I shower over and over and in total in like 10 min I counted up like 40 hairs. I thought this isn’t normal? I could probably get hair to fall out all day? Dude I’m sos stressed I have class in 1 hour and no weekend break what the fuck man. I applied minox but I’m stressing hard. How long would minox hold me if I did use it regularly? My temples are intact this is likely from accutane

It is normal. Hair sheds, it is how it grows in stages.

If your temples are the exact same as before just don’t stress because that will cause hairloss.

If you notixr the structure or density of hair change then worry.

The thing is dude, accutane can cause weird shit like diffuse thinning that just rapes your entire head. I don’t want that to happen to me. Very scary. I’m using minox out of pure fear right now.
