when i try high intensity with lower reps its just higher stress and no growth

but when i do 100 reps with half the weight my neck literally measures 0.5-1cm thicker 1 day after also i probably hit the muscle better and get more time under tension

have you gained the first 2cm? i'd say its harder to grow more when you hit the 2cm/1 inch mark

also you have to use weight plates bodyweight doesnt do much

yeah i gained noobie gains
 
i did around 8 reps with 5 kg plate on my head for a month and no growth visually so far, i think i feel a little stronger while training tho
