I am 35 years old and I have never been in "love" as pictured in the "movies".

I had girlfriends and I liked them, but I have never been in this mythical "mental state" how "love" is described in the movies and hyped in society.

So I'm starting to question, if normies are just pretending in a way...
Like the girl says "I love you" after a few weeks and then they HAVE to say "me too" or of course she would leave.
Like, some strategy where they both "lovebomb" eachother to secure the LTR and they just play the game...

Or either I'm a social retard which I'm very much willing to accept, but I'm still questioning reality...

Back in the day (like 150+ years ago), romantic love was treated as a mental illness. Love as in the same love you have for your family probably doesn't exist between sexual partners at all. If you actually fall in love meaning romantic love, you are probably on the spectrum of mental illnesses. It's all brain chemicals and they can really mess you up if it goes wrong. I'm speaking from experience. I was infatuated and later, found out that it was probably unrequited. This whole event happened about 1.5 years ago and I'm still mentally destroyed from it. It was a case of limerence, which I honestly wouldn't wish on anyone.
