. since they are very intelligent, they learn doing things that benefit society benefits them and their offspring. They probably don't see the world as "I work for myself and for my inmediate benefit and pleasure".
So they sacrifice sexual pleasure in their younger years to do things that enrich them, not only with money, but spiritually and experience wise. Once they have reached a certain place in the world for example, become CEOs, become an important public figure, become someone who is in charge of many people, etc they then settle down. These type of men see women and relationships just as a side effect of being succesful, while other men see women and relationships as goals.
They weight their options, and discover that long term pleasure outweights short term gratification.
