Reminder That Anything People Say On r/Nootropics And Youtube Is Pure Cope

Well I haven't taken all of them at once (would literally send someone to a psych ward JFL). But I have used Nardil, Lyrica, and Vorinostat in a stack and honestly it is a godsend. Like I said, I not only have destroyed my introversion with this stack but also have a paved a way for future looksmaxxers who want to succeed in any career. And I genuinely mean that.
But what about their effect on sleep? And potential effects fucking with hormones and retarding development (there are exceptions like Phenibut). Also I don’t see adderall and modafinil on this list.

This post is a reminder that anything you read about cognitive enhancement and improving your social skills through r/nootropics and YouTubers like Boost Your Biology means fuck all. Do not cope with muh nootropics/supplements, it is meant for people who still believe in placebo and want to waste their money.

inb4 Some nootropic coper claims this ___ drug causes this ___ side effect to you. But guess what fucking retard, breathing air does the same exact thing.

The only substances you should consider taking are:
Nardil
Lyrica
Vorinostat
Cerebrolysin
Bromantane
Ritalin

Or their derivatives (if you can find them). If you genuinely want to change your life, then here is your last choice.

@Seth Walsh @AscendingHero
modafinil and actual prescription stimulants will boost your social skills though. also proven GABAgernic drugs like phenibut, GhB.

but like most crap on youtube, nootropics products are snake oil+caffeine

Insomnia is the biggest issue for MAOIs, but I take Lunesta so sleep isn't much of an issue. But my life is so better on Nardil, I have no fear/anxiety which was an issue for me in the past.

Modafinil gives me the worst crash tbh, and you build up a tolerance to it pretty quickly. Adderall is good, but it's too stimulating for me.

There definitely very powerful when used together. Not a huge fan of Phenibut and GHB, you build up a tolerance to both drugs extremely fast. G is very addictive, but it did get me laid though in my younger years after being a truecel for so long.

Do all MAOIs basically have the same effect?
I'm considering ordering selegline because I can't get my hands on Nardil or Pharnate. Is it a comparable alternative?

It depends on how much Selegiline you take. At lower doses, Selegiline selectively inhibits MAO-B so you'll experience primarily a increase in dopamine. At higher doses, it acts more like Nardil and Parnate since it starts to inhibit MAO-A as well.

Yea, I read a lot of scientific journals, browsed reddit, longecity, raypeatforum, looked substances up on psychonautwiki, etc.

You really need to test substances for yourself and have a good understanding of pharmacology. Fortunately, I have tried almost everything, and these are ultimately the substances I have found to be the most beneficial for promoting prosocial behavior (with limited sides or tolerance issues) and thus becoming more lowinhib and more NT. Some of these also help with motivation and concentration if you want to succeed in a career (for moneymaxxing) and just life in general.

I used Lion's Mane for the best part of 10 months. Imo It's not worth it because it definitely lowers libido and has that weird effect on the kappa opioid receptors. There's tons of other things that increase BDNF expression not limited to LM. Cistanche Tubulosa is a better alternative in my opinion.

If it works, it works. But once I started Nardil, taking SSRIs felt like a sugar pill.
Why did you take it. What are its effects

Lions mane lowers DHT through 5ar inhibition iirc. Cistanche is great as it also should increase HGH/IGF-1 through activation of the ghrelin receptor. However, cistanche may act as a SERM.

I used Vorinostat briefly (until my roommate accidentally flushed it jfl), but it took away some of the long-term memory fears I had. Children learn things at a faster rate than adults due to their brains being more neuroplastic, Vorinostat is supposed to replicate this.

Is there anyway to combat other MAOI side effects like anorgasmia, daytime somnolence, orthostatic hypotension, etc.? Do you get prescribed Lunesta?

I dealt with all those side effects when I first started Nardil. They're a bitch to deal with tbh, but all those sides go away after a couple months. I was super high on life at the time and felt euphoria everyday so it made the sides bearable. At one point, I was legit taking viagra + clomid to deal with anorgasmia, Modafinil for daytime fatigue, and Lasix for edema. But all these meds eventually became pointless and now I'm fine and the only side I deal with now is insomnia. And ye I'm prescribed Lunesta.

Bro can I dm you?

Would I take 150mg or 300mg of pregabalin? I likely won’t take it daily nor do I want to use too high amounts to avoid developing a dependency on it.

I'd start with 150mg of Pregabalin. Take it in the morning on a empty stomach with some caffeine, you'll get the prosocial effects more this way. I can pretty much take it daily because of Nardil's effect on GABA, but ye I would save it for days where you're wanting to go out and approach girls, go on Tinder dates, clubbing, etc.

Nootropics are most realistically seen as a means of promoting wakefulness. Social skills realistically are only going to be improved by exposure therapy.

A-GPC is extremely useful for having more energy without the shitty side effects of stims.

Vorinostat + exposure therapy is literally a godsend for mentalcels. Also Lyrica completely changes your personality, I literally become the most charismatic person in conversations.

Alpha-GPC is pretty copey, I don't find supplemental cholinergics to have any effect worth noting. You only really need them if you're taking racetams, and even then I don't find them that necessary.

I find it hard to sleep if i take A-GPC, and it helps if I feel groggy from not eating enough or something. It definitely promotes wakefulness. It's by no means something like amphetamine, but it has physically stimulating effects. Definitely not something to take for social skill improvement.

Maybe look into Selegiline then. It's more widely available (as far as I know), and I can PM you a link if you can't get it prescribed.

Getting your hands on Nardil (phenelzine) is literally the hardest thing ever JFL.

Because it's not officially approved by my government (NL), it's not on the market in the Netherlands. My doctor would have to send in a request for a manufacturer to produce it.

Not to mention the fact I’d have to get diagnosed with some illness that warrants that. Brutal. :feelswah:

On the bright side, I already purchased the Lyrica and think I'll be able to get my hands on Vorinostat by early august. :feelsgood: Though I'll leave Selegiline on the backburner for now.

I am especially excited to see the effects of Vorinostat on the long-term, deeply rooted fears I've developed.

Does it have to be lyrica? I have other very cheap option that contain 150mg pregabalin per capsule . Pfizer is expensive in my country tbh

@Cope, when using Ritalin did you use anything else to combat the adrenergic effects of its use like increased heart rate and blood pressure?
I’d love to use it for cognitive and focus purposes related to school etc… but do have a family history of cardiovascular issues. Also, how does it stack up to Adderall?

I feel like a god on phenibut, you say Lyrica/Pregabalin can give the same effects, but without tolerance.

To my knowledge pregabalin gives withdrawal symptoms too, how do you manage this? Also, since pregabalin isn't a GABAa or GABAb agonist can you use phenibut simultaneously?
@Seth Walsh wanna hear your thoughts too

Vorinostat seems very interesting, any good resource to read about it? Also, thoughts on cocaine?

Take my words with a grain of salt as I am not an expert, far from it actually.

It can give withdrawal symptoms but I don't think they're likely at the dosage of ~150mg occasionally.

Often the use of Pregabalin in scientific papers is reserved for those dealing with neuropathic pain, anxiety disorders, or partial epilepsy. The doses they take are often substantially higher than would be required for our therapeutic objectives of lowering inhibition. In addition, they'll often take it on a daily basis. So all of this, to me, would factor into the likelihood of experiencing withdrawal symptoms after discontinuation.

With that said though, even with a dosage of 150mg and short-term use, withdrawal symptoms have seemingly appeared in some people before so it doesn't hurt to be cautious. In the same study, they recommend slowly and carefully tapering off if you do experience any. Nevertheless, the dose and duration of pregabalin use are still found to correlate most with withdrawal so it doesn't seem likely.
Vorinostat seems very interesting, any good resource to read about it?
Vorinostat, a histone deacetylase inhibitor, facilitates fear extinction and enhances expression of the hippocampal NR2B-containing NMDA receptor gene
HDAC inhibitors as cognitive enhancers in fear, anxiety and trauma therapy: where do we stand?
Vorinostat—an overview
I found these review articles to be pretty good. Reading the abstract, introduction and discussion sections seems sufficient.

This Reddit thread on Voronistat is also amazing and just an easier read without too much obscure scientific lingo.
