You realise "Syrian rebels" is like 100 different groups all at odds with each other.

I wouldn't be surprised if al-Julani dissolved HTS and other groups start splintering off and forming their own political parties (ideally not waging war on each other). This is how Assad ruled all the time until the merger.

JFL if you think al-Julani a guy that was literally threatening attacks on the West 10 years ago would say that.
