This is true. Up until recently in history women left their infants to die in the wild if they did not believe they had the resources to take care of them. In ancient rome infants weren't even seen as human beings because they were considered "not sentient". The fact that women are even willing to abort their children well into late pregnancy is also proof that they don't care. Children are just leverage that women use to obtain resources from the father, because they know that the father is more likely to take care of them if they have a living offspring to worry about.
