Do you ever wonder, why Christianity is the sole religion which is repressed, pressured into marrying gay people, taking female priests, changing the message? It is because the devil only concerns himself with what leads us to the salvation. He doesn't care who you pray to or what kind of spirituality you practice, as long as that doesn't involve Jesus. From the moment Christianity was born, it was opposed, christians were hunted and slaughtered while everyone else was accepted. Eventually, Christianity won through the force of God, and became the dominant religion in the world. But satan is constantly trying to undermine God and his plans, and satan will deceive the nations as written in the bible. His goal is to stop the unsaved from knowing the way to salvation.
We are very close to the end times, and those will be some terrible times. All kinds of false prophets and antichrists will appear at those times to deceive people from salvation. Jesus warned against such in Matthew 24:
4-5 Jesus answered, “See to it that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.
9-11 Then they will deliver you over to be persecuted and killed, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. At that time many will fall away and will betray and hate one another, and many false prophets will arise and mislead many.
26-27 So if they tell you, ‘There He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
The very men who had witnessed the godliness of Jesus went out into the world to spread his message, knowing they would most probably die for it in a horrific way. Yet they did not care, for they knew it was the truth. They knew they were going to heaven after it all and they felt the urgency to warn people about hell.
How many of the messengers of Islam were persecuted? What did satan do to stop them from spreading their truth? Christ is lord.
